Show-Me Kansas City Biz Community Against Missouri SJR39 Religious Conservatives

Interesting NPR analysis of a Missouri culture war crisis and Kansas City big money talk . . . "The measure has run into some unexpected — and unexpectedly stiff — opposition, from a longtime ally of the religious right: the business community . . . Joe Reardon sees a threat to commerce. "We're talking about profitability; we're talking about jobs," says Reardon, who runs the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce."

And while this is an interesting thesis about biz community interests, the Kansas City biz community contingent DOES NOT HAVE CONSERVATIVE ROOTS . . . Like it or not, these are tax and spend progressives who mostly defy political genres in their relentless support of corporate welfare. 1. I'm missing the big deal here. We don't live in Colonies that have only one church. If a Pastor defers on officiating your marriage, find another one that will. There are several progressive churches that are largely LGBT. Given that, why not get married in an environment that practices your beliefs?

The whole "officiant" position is a joke. Anyone with 15 minutes of spare time can become Ordained & preside (Officiate) over your marriage ceremony.

Seems the real issue here is making Pastors accept you despite their church's doctrines.

    Flame Away, TKC Fans.

  2. The FACT is the U.S. Constitution and subsequent case law already allows a clergyman to refuse to conduct a wedding ceremony base on his religious convictions. If the Baptists do not believe in gay marriage then you can not force then to conduct your ceremony. Of course the question cons to mind as to why a gay couple would be wanting a pastor, of a religion they do not believe in, to conduct their wedding ceremony unless it is for no other reason than to start a bunch of shit. In fact pondering this issue has me wondering why gays want to start a bunch of shit with people who just want to mind their own business, run their own business and not be sucked into the gay drama bullshit. I will never understand why these fucktards think they can force me to accept that their lifestyle of ass fucking and sucking shit of each other's dicks. That is the kind of shit that will get your ass kicked. Whether the libtards believe it or not we are just about at the limit as to the amount of ridiculous bullshit normal Americans are going to put up with before the real backlash starts.

  3. This isn't about ministers conducting marriages.

This is about businesses refusing to serve some of their fellow Americans, & blaming Jesus ben Joseph.

  4. Well, we will make their cakes if they really want them and need them. Of course they have to pay in advance, no returns, made to our special gay specifications and you need to sign a waiver against any liabilities related to eating or using the cake. All Americans are content and happy to do nothing with their time, money and business but cater to the poor little gay community. That is the way it should be.

  6. So the gay KC businessmen are coming out of the closet. That is great. We know who NOT to do business with.
