Quick story of a weekend encounter at a KCK casino gone horribly wrong . . . And a reminder that "safer sex" means a lot of things . . .
"The victim said he met the woman Friday at a Kansas City, Kan., casino. They exchanged phone numbers and reconnected later that evening.
Saturday morning, the man drove her to a residence on Thompson Avenue. As the two sat in a van and talked, several men wearing masks came out of a residence just after 5 a.m. One of them struck the victim in the head with a handgun. The robbers took the victim’s wallet, cellphone and the keys to his van. The victim said he heard a single gunshot as he ran from the scene."
The victim suffered minor injuries and probably no longer believes in love . . .
