The current budget devised by Mayor Sly and Troy Schulte could take 100 police officers off the street . . . Outrage over this fact was reported and then summarily ignored like most local news stories. In the aftermath of these proposed cuts, the warm weather gives rise to a spate of shooting in the metro.
The past few days started with a baby shot in the hand and then things got worse:
Two women shot after altercation, one in critical condition
Overnight shootings injure 3 in KC
Man suffers life-threatening injuries in shooting at metro bar
So far the Kansas City homicide count stands @ at least 30 compared to at this time last year -- A 36% increase over the year before that . . .

Build police stations at all of the shooting sites and tell police to show up at various events trying to look like heroes. That will fix everything.
