FEAR TOP 5 KANSAS CITY ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS ON EARTH DAY 2016!!!

At the conclusion of this Earth Day, right now it's appropriate to think about the future of the planet and Kansas City's mostly FAILED efforts to save the world.

To wit . . .

LET'S CONFRONT THE TOP 5 ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS IN KANSAS CITY RIGHT NOW!!!

Consider this a challenge to act locally while thinking globally whilst so many deny efforts to clean up Kansas City . . .

KCMO Illegal Dumping Destroys Planet

Suburbanites and locals spewing their trash upon secluded parts of the urban core remains one of the Kansas City's top eco-threats as city hall employs cameras to stop the commonplace local crime that persists to no avail.

Like or not, while some debate the causes of so-called global climate change . . . There is no denying the fact that shameless "illegal dumpers" (lulz) are trashing Kansas City.

Storm Sewer Deferred Maintenance Threatens To Sink Kansas City

The EPA has mandated BILLIONS worth of storm sewer and water infrastructure for Kansas City. There hasn't been much progress on this project that's not only polluting local streets but also impacting this town's purse strings.

Kansas City Potholes Destroy Cars

Do the math: Potholes in Kansas City are worse than ever . . . These potholes kill local cars and tires causing increased consumption. Therefore, KCMO neglect for the condition of our streets is helping to destroy the planet.

Metro Suburban Sprawl Continues

From the Sierra Club vault: "Lacking geographic limits like mountains and major water bodies, the Kansas City region has sprawled like topsy. The bi-state metro area has also been influenced by an extensive regional freeway system planned in the '40s, a state line that has made it difficult to get citizens to think of the region as a single entity and a central-city school district situation that has stimulated white flight."

Animal Captivity Cruelty Celebrated At Dangerous Kansas City Zoo

A chimp recently died at the Kansas City Zoo and they shipped the cancer polar bear away before he croaked in front of local denizens supporting this money pit for the unjust captivity of animals who should remain in what's left of the wild.

  1. TKC encourages the use of silicone.

Act locally and say no to false boobs.

THAT would be doing your part TKC!

Just like there's no such thing as a "fake" blonde. The term "fake" or "false" breasts is a misnomer.

If they're out in the wild, there's no such thing as "fake". Sorry, buddy.

  3. You forgot that newspapers are also destroying the planet. But I guess that problem is taking care of itself since most people don't read them.

  4. The hot air and smoke coming out of Lyin' Sly James mouth is contributing more to global warming then newspapers.

  5. You forgot that niggers are also destroying the planet. But I guess that is a problem we humans will have to take care of since most people detest their very existence.

  8. GO for KC Green4/22/16, 9:06 PM

KC needs to look at electric buses as an alternative to the streetcar.

But it's not at all doom and gloom, TKC you need to focus on what Kansas City is doing right.

KCP&L is working to bring electric car charging stations to the public.

There are also a number of city buildings that are solar powered.

Kansas City has some of the best recycling efforts in the nation and groups like Bridging the Gap are doing some great work.

Focus on the positive if you want to make change. KC has come a long way in leading change in the midwest.

  9. Where in the fuck do you think the electricity comes from for those stupid electric buses? The air? well, kinda. Deer Leader has been doing his best to shut down the oil industry the coal industry and the nuclear industry and taking into account that solar is a pipe dream and wind turns out to be just a bunch of blow hards the GRID that we all had to go to curly que light bulbs to save in the Bush administration, the GRID that has gotten no love because like sewars and water pipes it's just not sexy to upgrade it, the GRID is where the electricity for those Land Leviathans will have to get there power from and Dear Leader has pretty much done his damnedest to stop putting power INTO the GRID!
There will always be enough fuel and power for the elite class to run around the world, eat fancy food, fuck fancy chicks all the while berating us low life's who have to send an ever bigger part of their paychecks to them so they can continue this SHAM.
You and I will be living in Tee-Pees and burning buffalo chips for heat IF they let us have that big of a carbon foot print. My guess is they'll still bitch about that.

  10. "Human activity is causing damage to the planet".
I would suggest it's government that is doing the damage. I've been around the world seven times and it's those countries that have corrupt, centralized governments that are without a doubt the leaders in filthy conditions. Free people don't live in filth
Kcmo has it's trash strewn areas because there doesn't seem to be any incentive to keep it clean. I wish I had the answer but I don't. I say good job to those trying to make things better, but face it, Kansas City government doesn't care about the condition of the city. If they did the place would have been cleaned up years ago instead of building the next big construction project
