Something to consider for the Kansas City late night for our blog community of political pundits, activists, participants and cynics.
Checkit . . .
Caption: "Yesterday at his State of the City Address, the mayor sang about “singing the same old song" well it will definitely be "the same old song" if the Earnings Tax is extended: A NO vote on April 5th will force city hall to become better stewards of taxpayers money."
Now, the earnest message is for voters to consider. WHAT WE REALLY LIKE HERE IS ARTISTRY!!! Like it or not, this image PERFECTLY captures the way many people feel about more taxes amid the Kansas City era of crony capitalism. The campaign will continue but this image is a part of our river city heritage and history.
Hopefully, more for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!
Looks like business as usual in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting, T.
We WILL pass the earnings tax on April 5th.
ReplyDelete^^^ KC WILL go bankrupt.
ReplyDeleteSame as it ever was, same as it ever was...red pill, blue pill...follow the rabbit down, down, that hole!
ReplyDeleteVOTE NO E-TAX.
ReplyDeleteVOTE NO E-TAX.
VOTE NO E-TAX.
VOTE NO E-TAX.
The only thing missing from the cartoon is the image of the politicians' friends and family being handed cash back by the developers being fed so well.
ReplyDeleteIt has always been a veiled kick-back scheme.
Hey remember last time if they didn't get the tax passed fire and police are goin to lay off instead everybody is moving out of kc and the fire closed 2 fire company's anyway sly James and the city council are full of shit when are people goin to wake up and see these liberal policies are bankrupting these cities do you want your city to end up like Detroit and saint Louis crime ridden dumps that the tax payers have moved out of
ReplyDeleteSay bye bye kc kc is dependent on the e tax and when they don't pass it LOOK OUT get rid of these dems or your goin to pay
ReplyDeleteThe e-tax will pass. Too many people and businesses depend on political slush funds to allow it to fail. How easy it is to take money from people who do not get to vote.
ReplyDeleteUmmmm...KC added people in the last 5 years though. In fact the 2 fastest growing paces in the entire metro are #1. downtown KCMO, #2 Platte Co. KCMO.
ReplyDeleteI know facts are hard, when they don't conform to your half-wit preconceptions, but they are still facts.
