TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! RESIDENTS CLAIM: MORE KANSAS CITY GUNFIRE NEAR EAST PATROL REVEALS BROKEN POLITICO PROMISES!!!

Amid more weekend gunfire reports, take a look at KICK-ASS TKC READER TESTIMONY offering a unique perspective on the bold claims made in Kansas City's urban core.

To wit . . .

SOME TKC READERS CLAIM EAST PATROL ISN'T REDUCING CRIME AS PROMISED FOLLOWING MORE GUNFIRE NEAR THE PROJECT!!!

Remember this building is widely touted as not only an economic engine but also a project 20 MILLION OVER-BUDGET signaling a so-called Renaissance on the east side that bears the name of a civil rights leader.

Here's the word . . .

I see there was a shooting at 25th Brooklyn. That house was build in the early 2000's and recently renovated . . . The 2500 block of Brooklyn is primarily vacant land . . . You should have highlighted the fact that this incident exactly one block north of the new East Patrol site. Again the violence is debunking the City and KCPD's theory that that building would strengthen relationships within the community. It hasn't and likely won't. I wonder what the response time was to get to the scene? That home is the only one at that end of the 2500 block of Brooklyn.

The City and PD will have to give up more cash to buy more temporary loyalty. Money they need to invest in infrastructure. It will be interesting to see how they try and spin the violence in this area given their occupation of the area.

Developing . . .

  2. What a surprise. Really, which one of the kcmopd stations has ever led to a reduction in crime just by it's presence. Why would anyone ever, ever believe a politician.

  3. This was built where it was and had the cost overruns that it did to benefit some of the usual east side grifter suspects and nothing more.
Any notions about neighborhood safety or, even more ridiculous, economic development were smoke screens made up out of thin air.
And the results speak for themselves.
Be sure to vote to renew the e-tax.
This gang needs your money more than ever.

  4. Tony. You seem to hate everything KC.

    Ever think about moving?

  5. It's officially a war zone. If you thought it wasn't safe before, it definitely isn't now.

  6. Perhaps the presence of the station has lowered crime. Can anyone prove that it hasn't? I didn't think so.

  7. This libtard perception that the police are here to protect you is such bullshit it is just incredible. There are about three things police do. They raise money for the local government through petty offenses and traffic enforcement. They take reports (after you are injured, a victim or dead) and they investigate in attempts to bring offenders to justice, which no longer exists. Other than the few domestic issues they handle the role of protector is pretty much non existent. With the exception of the Metro North station I doubt there is a station in town where drug deals and crime is not taking place within yards of the police station.

The folks that believe locating police stations in high crime areas will solve problems are the same bunch that believe passing an earnings tax will somehow reduce KC's money (spending) problems. The city is a master at creating a dog and pony show whenever it wants to waste money. Often health, welfare and public safety are the themes, but the fact is the city government does very little positive regarding either. Hoping the numb nuts of KC wise up is futile.

  8. The fact of the matter is quality of life has been greatly diminished. Proof can be seen from the countless number of uhauls we see moving through the area. People know that there are countless other places to live without screaming sirens at all hours of the night, where you can live in peace away from the so-called activists of the world, where you can live without somebody else deciding they know what quality of life means for you despite the fact they never met you or bothered to say hello. There are many, many other places to live where prosperty is not just a word but a real possibility. There are places where you can live without some politician using your race as a means to get public funding for friends and colleagues.Face it, the grass is actually greaner abroad. Interference from all directions is what keeps this community from thriving.

  9. The east side of KC has it's problems. The police station is not one. Just think of the bitching if they didn't have one.

    1. This isnt east patrol territory. We have a station at 31st Forest. It's call central patrol which is just a few blocks away from this one. Talk what you know not what you think you know. Imagine the bitching if you actually had facts.

  10. That's right, it's a police station. They already had one on Van Brunt. They needed a community center. Would not have destroyed all thoughs homes. Who owns that land anyway? Could of fixed Linwood Multi up too. All for less money. Grifters. You tell partial truths.
