TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY EARNINGS TAX SUPPORTERS STRIKE BACK AGAINST STL & REX WHILST TOUTING CITYWIDE SUPPORT!!!
Our friends supporting the Kansas City earnings tax ask for a bit of equal time and that's fair enough given that their arguments deserve voter consideration.
To wit . . .
CHECK THIS BOLD STATEMENT FROM KANSAS CITY EARNINGS TAX SUPPORTERS LASHING OUT AT THEIR OPPOSITION AND CLAIMING CITY WIDE SUPPORT!!!
Like it or not, these groups lending support to the e-tax represent just about every demographic, enclave and cross-section of Kansas City from North to urban core, midtown and beyond.
Take a look:
ONE ST. LOUIS BILLIONAIRE TRYING TO DICTATE TO KC VOTERS, AGAIN!
One week to go until the April 5th citywide vote to renew Kansas City's Earnings Tax. The campaign has clearly come down to Rex Sinquefield's 2 million dollars to oppose renewal vs. almost every major Kansas City community group supporting renewal.
If anyone doubts that this is not just a billionaire from St. Louis trying to peddle a failed economic scheme to the potential demise of Kansas City, please the consider the following;
1 - Look at their Vote NO on the E tax Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/VoteNoETax/?fref=nf). The photo right in your face is of the St. Louis Arch !!
2 - Rex's minions have hit KC with 4 negative, totally misleading propaganda (Donald Trump might say, "lying Rex"). On ALL the mailings there is no return address. Why? Because they did not want our voters to know the mailings were coming out of St. Louis.
3 - So why the deception? Could it be that Rex is mad that KC still has an NFL team? Or that the Royals, not the Cardinals, won the World Series? Or could it be that KC's population continues to grow while St. Louis' shrinks?
Rex - leave us alone !!!! Just stay in your lane in St. Louis. Just focus on destroying your home town, not ours.
So here we have St. Louis millions, while we have citywide support. A couple of Rex's fellow travelers (Tuohey and Cozad) are about it for local mouthpieces. Has anyone in the KC media tried to interview Rex?
Now look at the 39 endorsements for renewal listed below and posted on our website (www.progresskc.com)

ReplyDeleteThat's a good one.
13% increase in sewer bill, How does that relate to cost ?
ReplyDeletedid wages go up 13% ? Did labor go up 13% ? So why such a large increase ? How much was spent last year for improvements ? How much money was taken in ? Did any money go from the water dept topay for other expenses ?
everybody with their hand out wanting money from it. Sheep
ReplyDeleteniggers.
ReplyDeleteif Democrat greedy unions slob-scamming weasels are FOR it-
ReplyDeletethe people need to stand AGAINST it.
Vote yes for the ETax while Troy Schulte is still city manager??? Not a chance in hell
ReplyDeleteThe KC E tax always was a total ripoff. It is now. If you vote for it to stay, it's your money, fool.
ReplyDeleteA group called FREEDOM INC. is missing from your list of supporters. This is an Eastside group supposedly representing the voters on this side of town. They got at least one check from the E Tax support group for $10,000 to support the tax. The E- Tax hurts the poorest people the most. It taxes every dollar they earn. How can a group who is supposed to represent the Eastside's poorest residents sell out to the investors and developers who rely on the E Tax for their slush fund. TERRIBLY SAD!!!
ReplyDeleteTHIS ONCE AGAIN PROVES HOW TERRIBLY WRONG THIS TAX IS FOR KANSAS CITY!
When did MainCorp and MSCID become friends of TKC?
ReplyDeleteLMAO!
Everybody on your list got paid off in one way or another. Lowered property taxes or no property taxes, TIFs of one kind or another. Firefighters got a huge contract. I guess if you spread enough money around, you can buy some VOTES!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be wild if the e-tax didn't pass?
ReplyDeleteHee heeeeeeeeeee
They should get their signs out of the right of way.
ReplyDeleteYes it would Lyin Sly would have to cut off the free taxpayer money he dishes out everyday to developers and all the other local big time crooks.
ReplyDeleteWhat ignoramus wrote this?
ReplyDeleteThis blog is funny. It's kind of like a daily crossword puzzle where you can goof off and not have to take much of anything seriously.
ReplyDeleteWE BELIEVE THE TOY CHOO CHOO TROLLEY TRAIN IS GONNA FIX EVERYTHING!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis post has the peculiar pungent aroma of Glorioso Gangrene....or (gangrenous necrosis municipalus) that condition in which a city slowly dies from the extremities inward.
ReplyDeleteAs the political infection and/or lack of economic flow spreads, the municipality exhibits symptoms of severe economic disparity as reported in the documentary "Our Divided City", severe pain manifests with a record-breaking homicide rate, numbness spreads evidenced by lack of voter participation, and a foul discharge is omnipresent with the lightest of rainfall.
Glorioso Gangrene requires urgent care if the city is to be saved. Treatment includes removal of dead weight tissue (the status quo corrupt political/business cronyism) including the excision of entire limbs if necessary, and application of antibiotic policies as advocated by CFRG and the Show-Me Institute.
On April 5th, you can spend a few minutes to help save KCMO by casting a NO vote on Question 1 (Earnings Tax Gangrene) or you can sit back and watch the city die a slow painful death.
The idiots that voted to continue this tax the last time around aren't any smarter this time.
ReplyDeleteKC isn't exactly a town where folks question their leadership very much, and the docile lemmings fall for the scare tactics every time.
Tony's Minority Report: voice of the 20%! (And also JoCo resident obsessed with the mother city whose tit they suck).
ReplyDeleteMother city... Haha KCMO is a shit hole.
ReplyDeleteThis article snows how pathetic city hall pundits are. I'm embarrassed for them. The city needs to shit can Glorioso and Hernandez. They should try and hire some of the Show Me guys. The at least make sense!
ReplyDeleteJust another example of the Democrats idea of democracy. Allow people to vote on E Tax who will never have to pay it while denying votes from those who will be robbed and forced to pay it. Seems to me the only place to get ant kind of respect on this is to petition the state legislature to end this. If KC can not raise revenue without cheating and stealing it does not deserve revenue.
ReplyDeleteYou know if you see ANY unions supporting this it has to be slimy..just that simple
ReplyDeleteBAN THE TAX
Look at the list of Minority supporters and you have your answer,a bunch of groups who have either received or will receive some form of kickback.

ReplyDeleteRex should target that one for money laundering. It is not a real club.
The last mayoral election showed how out of sync the TKC blog denizens were with everyone else. I suspect that this vote will show the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI thought Pat Gray was dead. I suppose his brilliant idea of shooting the messenger still plays. If you can't dispute the message just focus on the messenger.
ReplyDeleteLying Byron is an authority on spending other peoples money.
ReplyDeleteamazing that a blind loser from west virginia has so much knowledge about KC
ReplyDeletelooking at the endorsements should be reason enough to vote not just no but "HELL NO"
ReplyDeleteBoycott Kansas Shitty!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your higher tax rate in JoCo, so you can subsidize strip malls on cornfields! It's an economic miracle that's really working out for you...
ReplyDeleteWhen you are losing to Nebraska, it might be time to rethink things, but you'd have to think in the first place.
Meanwhile KCMO keeps growing and downtown to the plaza is booming and you bitches are crying, whimpering and manufacturing rage. Impotent rubes.
The defunct Kansas City, Missouri School District is making political endorsements. This is beyond desperate and embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteNo No No No No
ReplyDeleteWhat's in it for Rex? Why is no one explaining this?
