Kansas City Media Battle Against Missouri Gay Wedding Cake Legislation Continues!!!

The latest presser "news" touting numbers that totally are unsupported but still daunting to casual news readers. File this under, ask a stupid question . . .

KMBC: "Kansas City could lose more than $50 million a year in economic activity connected to sports events if voters approve a constitutional amendment that would allow some Missouri business owners to refuse services for same-sex weddings because of their religious beliefs, said Kathy Nelson, president and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission."

Yes it's a bold statement but the more important fact revealed here might be that nobody ever imagined people sold that many gay wedding cakes!!!

You decide . . .

  1. Yet another bizarre and over-the-top claim.
How any of these folks can make comments like this with a perfectly straight face is amazing.
And where does all this money from "economic activity" go?
    All aboard!

  2. All the cash never accounted for at Jackson County tax dept, where it going and that homeless fund for decades mess, somebody been allegedly stealing billions for decades.

Use this money and why is UMB getting to bank this cash? Off the record no audits have allegedly been done for years and if so no public accounting for this cash. or bid for the bank to do business with the county.

Lots of corruption (JBN) controls this place still and where the money goes. Why is one the head Jackson County judges living in Leawood,KS in a big house while on the bench downtown KCMO.

Folks are being duped and aren't getting proper representation.

  3. Anyone else think those numbers are full of shit? Why do people still think the media is telling the truth. If Kansas City loses anything, my guess it's going to be a few thousand. Not $50 million. People are tired of walking on eggshells for gays, trans-testicles and perverts.

  5. I wonder what else Kathy Nelson pulls out of her ass?

  6. Even if the figure was 50 million, which is fabricated bullshit, the idea that special interest (again) get to demand what they want (or else) is repulsive. I hope the State legislature drives a pile up their faggot asses.

  7. RE: "Kansas City could lose more than $50 million a year in economic activity.."

The key word here is "COULD"....which means that Kathy Nelson might as well have said "Kansas City could lose more than $50 trillion a year in economic activity" and the statement remains purely hypothetical.

Whenever politicians, board/commission members, etc., feel they aren't going to get their way on an issue, inevitably, many of them resort to scare tactics and theatrics.

  9. Why don't the gays try and pull their act on a halal (Islamic) bakery?

  10. They are talking about the money that organizations won't be spending in Missouri because of this. They are talking about the tourists who won't be coming to ride your toy train or to view your broken fountains. They are talking about the NCAA going to a friendlier environment. Of course, the NCAA should already boycott you for your ongoing War Against Blacks.

  11. ....and the voters will still vote for it. That's how pissed the electorate is right now about this crap.

  12. Q: At every gay wedding ceremony, why do the 2 grooms make their entry from the rear?
