And this is the OPEN THREAD for right now . . .
"Friday the governor vetoed a provision in a budget bill preventing his administration from authorizing bonds backed by state sales tax revenues to lure the American Royal horse and livestock exhibition to Kansas from KCMO."
ReplyDeleteSmart move. If KC can not support the American Royal why would it be prudent for a state half the size and cities much smaller to take on the n of an organization that can not seem to survive without the tax payers having to go on tilt. Screw these blood sucking non profits. There is either a place for then, validated by public contribution and participation, or there is not. I don't thin it takes a forensic bean counter to grasp that it is time to let the chips fall where they may.
She might benefit from foot patrol.
ReplyDeleteCoons can't ride a bike without training wheels. Wrecks a city vehicle and they paint her up to be a victim instead of charging her.
ReplyDeleteHit the curb?
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like she isn't all that hot a scooter rider after all.
But a lot of cops think a speeder requires the type of race and chase down that should be reserved for an armed gunman. I hate speeders but at the same time, a simple speeding ticket isn't worth trying to wreck yourselves or others. I have just recently install a dash cam system myself and just yesterday morning I saw an Olathe office chase down an SUV in morning rush hour traffic in a reckless matter that I have yet to figure out what was all about. I have looked at the copy I have of it and don't see what it was that he thought was worth chasing it down to put at risk three crowded lanes of traffic coming up on a very heavy congested 1-35 and 1-435 interchange.
When I went by the officer he was sitting on the right side of the road and was stationary at that time.
Our local police need to enforce speeding laws but as well need to not place the public or themselves in harms way to do so.
Another bullshit KCPD story.
ReplyDeleteIf it comes out through the information officer or a press release it is certified bullshit.
