We start our morning off with some SERIOUS AND IMPORTANT talk about Kansas City from the GOLD STANDARD of local discourse.
Here's a quick summary of the latest episode of Ruckus that offers an important look at what the movers and shakers in this town think . . .
"Mike Shanin interviews filmmaker Christopher Cook and Re:Dream participant Elliott Clark about the microdocumentary, digital first series that explores the American dream. Then Jason Grill, Cynthia Wheeler, Terry Riley and Steve Mirakian discuss the presidential races in Kansas and Missouri, the troubling statistics for the Missouri economy and the criticisms surrounding a Mike Sanders contact."
Big surprise . . . A panel full of media consultants gives Mike Sanders and the county a pass on a sketchy contract that didn't pass the smell test for most voters.
More in a bit . . .
There's no way that consulting contract for Sanders could possibly be justified. The guy is a fast-talking sack of shit.
ReplyDeleteJust another example illustrating how Kansas City's " gold standard" of talk shows has become less and less relevant every day. We salute you, Big Mike Shannon on your way out the door heading towards oblivion.
ReplyDeleteOblivion and being irrelevant is sweet, eh Mike? Moon to Botello... time to unhitch yourself from this fast fading star!
ReplyDeleteMaybe his family didn't want him to spend time with them!
ReplyDeleteOnce, you cloak your workaholic-ism in 'providing for your family', when really you're just trying to avoid them, its difficult to go back, & become re-acquainted.
Sanders has, effectively, given the finger to all of you.
At least KCPT has had the good sense not to have Mary on for a while.
ReplyDelete8:33 FTW!!!
ReplyDeleteGoddamn Terry "fightin Irish" Riley is dumb. No wonder him and Teresa Loar get along so well.
ReplyDeleteKCPT VEERS LEFT AND REMAINS STUCK IN A RUTKUS!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteRE: Then Jason Grill, Cynthia Wheeler, Terry Riley and Steve Mirakian discuss...
As I correctly stated a few weeks back (Halley's Cometuckus) Ruckus had their sole episode of the year in which the panel was actually balanced with 2 Liberal Democrats versus 2 Conservative Republicans/Libertarians. All other episodes for 2016, will apparently continue conforming to the Liberal bias math of 3 to 1 equals equality.
Just look at this week's panel:
Jason Grill--(Chinese sock purveyor), former Democrat officeholder, and currently affiliated with Roshann Parris Communications, who dwell inside the bowels of Hillary Clinton's twisted colon.
Cynthia Wheeler--Liberal Democrat Black Female....shocking!! If she makes a living as a consultant, it's proof of the greater fool theory.
Terry Riley--Liberal Democrat Black Male....shocking!! Former KCMO Council member. In 2008, and again in 2012, President Obama received over 90 percent of the vote from Black voters, and you wonder why he takes Black Americans for granted, and Blacks have been disproportionately impacted by a faltering economy? Maybe the White half of him is racist?
Steve Mirakian--a West Point Academy graduate, an attorney, a man unafraid to criticize his political party for the greater good. Mirakian is one of the best Ruckus panelists to appear on the program.
Mike Shanin--while I appreciate some of the points you've made the last couple of episodes, PLEASE answer the following question on-air:
"Why does Ruckus routinely skew the panel 3 to 1 in favor of Democrats?" When every episode, but one per year, follows this pattern, it's certainly not coincidence but a planned methodology.
If Sanders was black these fucking libtards would not have a word to say on this issue.
