The extra hour to park, check-in, get through security, and walk to my gate is an extra cost. So is the money I'll spend on food/drinks once I get past security because I'll probably have to wait there longer too.
ReplyDeleteGone will be the days when I could get to the airport 30 minutes before departure, walk across the street to the terminal, go through security in less than 5 minutes, and board my plane. You'll be telling your children and grandchildren "back in the good'ole days...."
Perhaps one of these consultants can hire Prof. of communications Melissa Click to communicate to KC residents on why renovation is the best option....which will likely lead to people doing the opposite of what she supports.
Passenger increase by 40% by 2045 huh? Sounds like they are using the same exact formula they used to "project" the numbers of customers to the P&L District. That turned out well didn't it?

I always love how when developers come in here they paint this pie-in-the-sky picture of how much customer increase we'll see if we (the public) finance this and that. But not nary a developer is willing to put their dicks on the line at all. If we build this airport and the real numbers don't meet projections, guess where the difference will be made up...? That's right. Even higher ticket and parking prices and likely some money coming out of the general fund. Which will already be getting tapped into for the P&L and that damned hotel they are likely going to break ground on this year.
KCMO government at its finest. Sometimes I wonder if there is some side bet going on between KS and MO officials to see which state can get to bankruptcy first.
Does Teresa Loar do anything but play on her phone during these meetings? She's like a 16 year old girl, except the average 16 year old girl has accomplished thig with her life already.
