TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY STREETCAR SHOWDOWN POST PRESENTS VIDEO AND TRANSCRIPT OF TOY TRAIN SLAP-FIGHT!!!

Thanks to AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS our blog community featured an important discussion about the recent toy train streetcar debate that might have escaped the public at large.
This is fun stuff because it's in the aftermath of a "civil, fact-based conversation about national, regional and local polarizing issues" that isn't half as much fun as our bloggy goodness that doesn't regularly earn that sweet donor cash . . . But I digress . . .
Toy train d-bags were denying it but now evidence is revealed online . . .
CHECK VIDEO AND TRANSCRIPTS OF THE STREETCAR SLAPFIGHT WHEREIN TOY TRAIN CHEERLEADERS DENY THE PUBLIC ACCESS TO INFO ABOUT AN UPCOMING CAMPAIGN!!!
Here's the highlight . . .
SMI: Do you commit to sharing the presentation you made the Downtown Council public?
KCRTA: We’re a simple non-profit so we don’t have to share that information.
SMI: I’m not saying that you have to share it with the public, I’m asking. Will you share that plan publicly?
KCRTA: No.
The conclusion . . .
"What was remarkable about the discussion is what was not said. Specifically, the representative of the Kansas City Regional Transit Alliance, funded with taxpayer dollars, refuses to share its plans for a streetcar expansion campaign."

But here's what's really funny . . .
In this discussion and in the comments notice that the pro-streetcar crowd is every bit as mean, antagonizing and awful as the online critics they piously criticize in public. It's always entertaining to see Kansas City's consultant class slug it out and it's important to realize that cheerleaders for the streetcar are on the civic payroll too . . . Meanwhile, citywide Kansas City voting has CONSISTENTLY rejected rail transit in this town for more than a decade.
Developing . . .
So you're telling me that Dave and Staubio can get catty when cornered. Rewrite the headline.
ReplyDeleteSo in other words, when Touhey saw he was losing the debate, he went to his fallback position of attacking the messenger.
ReplyDeleteWho paid Sue Burke's attorney? Who is John Galt?
ReplyDeleteNotice Botello subtly claims he and his ilk should be immune from criticism. Oh the irony.

ReplyDeleteI think there is enough mud for all the piggies.
Tables have turned and people calling out David Johnson and his wretched band of supporters.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't turn out the way you wanted it to, did it Dave?
Trolley boy is a vindictive liar. What else is new?
ReplyDeleteWhen you get to 3 or 4 posts from your typical whiners on the TOY TRAIN, are you going to reassess your effectiveness on influencing public policy on mass transit?
ReplyDeleteBut keep trying to kick the crust of a turd.......
ReplyDeleteThe streetcar is a tax that keeps on taxing! Streetcar, TIFs downtown, Hyatt hotel, earnings tax that partially funds TIFs, all taxes. Chance to vote NO on April 5th.
I suspect the moderators purposely didn't get to many questions from the audience as most were probably against streetcar expansion and would have heaped a pile o crap on Davey boy. They didn't want their boy to look more radical and foolish than he made himself look.
ReplyDeleteNearly $8 trillion wiped off world stocks in January, U.S. recession chances rising
ReplyDeleteThe good thing about this specter of coming economic pain is all the gross malfeasance by Sly and his crew will be exposed for what it really is. Smoke and mirrors.
So all you have to do to avaoid obeying the law in these parts is create an entity, hand them lock, stock and barrel and they answer to no one? Perfect example of your elected KC government at work Peckerwoods.
