The talk of a "new day" at Jackson County under the rule of newly appointed Executive Frank White is quickly evaporating as more deets of the new regime leak to our blog community.

TOP ECHELON DEMOCRATIC PARTY INSIDERS RAGE OVER A NEW CONTRACT FOR GOP CONNECTED MEDIA DUDE MARK SIETTMANN WITHOUT A PEEP FROM EXEC FRANK WHITE OR LEGISLATIVE CHAIR CRYSTAL WILLIAMS!!!
Remember that the initial appointment was made by outgoing Exec Mike Sanders earlier last year and before he had to scurry away from the courthouse in the middle of the night around Christmas like some kind of hobo.
But this time its worse . . .
One-time GOP operative and now Director of Communications for Jackson County, Mr. Siettmann isn't just a contract employee any longer. In a recent vote on his employment agreement earlier this week, he's now a staffer that would require a buyout if anybody messed with him. Credit where it's due, Mr Siettman has a strong resume in Missouri GOP politics . . . He helped Sen. Will Kraus, he's affiliated with Axiom and Ted Cruz campaign dude Jeff Roe AND he's probably the only reason that former Mayor Funkhouser and his shoe-less wife weren't thrown out of City Hall by the Council.
Still . . .
DEMOCRATIC PARTY INSIDERS ARE CALLING OUT FRANK WHITE AND THE SO-CALLED GOOD DEMOCRATS IN THE LEGISLATURE WHO FULFILLED THE DICTATES OF MIKE SANDERS AND KEPT THIS GOP POWER BROKER ON STAFF WITHOUT MUCH DISCUSSION!!!
One insider puts it best . . .
"I thought things were going to be different with Frank White in charge but I guess not. We always hear a lot about how Jackson County is controlled by Democrats but if you drill down and look at how things are really run, you'll see that the way these people operate doesn't have a lot to do with Democratic Party principles. They're more obsessed with advancing their own careers."
The budget of the Jackson County office of Communications tops out at a record high $175K but Mr. Siettmann's pay isn't publicly itemized as far as we can tell or care to check . . . We expect that he's taking the lion's share of the budget since the curious departure of Lisa Carter . . . More on that later . . . But for now . . .
Exec Frank White along with Legislators Crystal Williams and Scott Burnett are taking the hit on this HORRIBLE oversight that's raising tempers among more elite party denizens.
Furthermore, with few staffing changes overall . . . The word around 12th & Oak is that Frank White is nothing more than figurehead for the same old Team Mike Sanders.
