Given our recent chat about the local homicide rate . . . Kansas City's murder count continues to rise amid a spate of local shootings during the Christmas season.

KMBC: A teen was killed and another teen was injured in a shooting Monday evening in Kansas City, police said.
This grizzly death confirms that young people make up a major contingent of so much Kansas City killing and fighting this future trend will grow increasingly difficult.
