Strange that this local convention claiming 20k visitors isn't getting a lot of hype from the civic set . . .
Here's the word from IHOP:
"The Onething conference is a gathering of young adults who have purposed in their hearts to live with abandonment and devotion to Jesus. We invite you to join 20,000 young adults in Kansas City this December to encounter Jesus through extended times of worship, teaching of the Word, and ministry in the power of the Spirit. Our primary aim is to encounter Jesus so that we might go forth to do His works and change the world."

KCTV5: Murder or suicide? Questions remain over young bride's death
Here @ TKC we attempt to respect everyone's superstitions except the misguided belief that building a Downtown Hotel will improve the convention biz has been fading amid the advent of the Internets.

RE: "in a van down by Longview Lake:"
ReplyDeleteSmall religious sect from Texas relocates to Grandview for IHOP study. Young male leader of group has sex with other males, and encourages them to drug and rape his wife while she's unconscious. He further manipulates a weak-minded male to kill his wife...down by the lake...and make it look like a suicide.
IHOP disassociates themselves from this small Texas cult.
If invited to go...down by the river/lake....with anyone other than Candice Swanepoel, Denise Milani, etc., just say no.
Same cult that illegally gave money to the exmayor/current Felon of Grandview. Same cult that bought up huge tracts of commercial property for their version of "My Little Town"
ReplyDeleteSame cult buying machetes for Uganda? You know, to chop the gay out...
ReplyDeleteConsidering all of the crap that is going on in the world, the worst thing you guys can connect to IHOP is the murder on Longview Lake?
ReplyDeleteAs far as anyone buying anything in Grandview, who is complaining? Certainly not the people in Grandview. I would rather have this cult than the crackheads moving to south KC.
What a bunch of bullshit! This, and all the rest of the churches, are pure-d crap. It's all about the money or at best, some kind of queer nonsense. No, churches are vile, insensitive fund raisers and nothing more.
ReplyDeleteThe convention hotel will still be built, it's a done deal.
ReplyDeleteOh, wowsie! Is this a sample of what the hotel will bring to KC?
ReplyDeleteDangerous cult, maybe? I do luv their pancakes.
ReplyDeleteIHOP is a cult
