For some strange reason, a bit of social media sponsored conversation seemed appropriate for today when denizens throughout the metro might trek to different parts of the community they don't usually visit i.e. Thanksgiving is often a time for visiting the old hood . . .
Accordingly, this Kansas City neighborhood juxtaposition reminds us of cowtown snobbishness that overlooks the flyover country condition impacting us all . . .

ReplyDeleteDon't be ridiculous. I live in one of those neighborhoods and constantly tell people I live in the 'hood. The poster (poser?) needs to develop a sense of humor or while he/she may not have a long life, it will seem like a long one for him/her and anyone who has to be around him/her.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Calling people names or their neighborhood or likeness is wrong, and tantamount to racist, hate speech. People from the suburbs only know about these neighborhoods from what other people say. They said Barack Obama was not born in this country so he could not be President and we all know that was a lie. I have come across so many, mainly White people who have never driven to areas they consider the hood,; mostly because they think black people live there. Conversely, nearly all black people have been to suburban areas. Get a life people. There are so many other things to be hateful for.

Jim Glover thought so too and tore down half of North Hyde Park and built a Costco. As of recent, Jim Glover attacked North Hyde Park again by trying to condemn an aparment building mostly occupied by Blacks. He called it social blight. I'm glad that jackass is off City Council.

HPNA put alot of pressure on him , and they are actively trying to use eminent domain to mow down ,Armour and Troost , including several black owned businesses.
