An impressive close win tonight for the Royals sends them back to the World Series.
The Mets await while this blogger hopes that none of the random celebratory gunfire erupting right now on local streets penetrates this basement HQ.
A few fun moments included a local fan who almost ruined the whole thing . . . Which would've been hilarious but the narrative of this team is far too white bread (with more than a dash of Dominican flavor) for something THAT interesting to happen.
Kansas City hype is in now in full gear for October as politicos welcome a distraction from tax breaks, convention hotel backroom deals and a great many campaign promises already betrayed.
