Top newsies in town offer their take on all things Kansas City . . .
In a program that should speak to the interests of local cowtowners, Brit talk starts off this newsie elite week . . . Pretty sure about half the audience tuned out after the Brit consulate started talking.
But there was still good stuff later in the show . . .
- The Airport Committee canceled their meetings AGAIN . . . Just like we complained about earlier in the year.
- More Streetcar Talk . . . Driving on Main is going to be a disaster.
- Downtown Convention Hotel Showdown . . . This thing is going to court. Expect the petition process to be targeted.
- The TIF Blight Fight . . . Mayor & Council put off the inevitable sign that nothing much has changed.
Plus a few good quips.
Take a look:
More in a bit . . .
And more insider gossip is coming later. Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteBrit consul general repeatedly referenced being in KANSAS!!
ReplyDeleteYes folks, a great many out-of-town visitors think Kansas City (downtown, Crown Center, Plaza, Chiefs/Royals, etc.) is in KANSAS.
And who could really blame them? It's right there in our name.
If you visited the Statue of Liberty in "New Jersey City", wouldn't you naturally assume you were in New Jersey?
Before turning off the video, I see Dave Helling is wearing his hair-hat as usual. If a journalist purposely hides his bald head from the public, can he be trusted to report news truthfully?
