FRIDAY FAIR WARNING: KANSAS CITY COULD ENDURE DEVIL'S NIGHT RIOT IF ROYALS WIN THE WORLD SERIES THIS WEEKEND!!!
This spooky time of year and a strange 30 year ritual for local fanboys brings about an ominous and scary set of circumstance for Kansas City over the weekend.
To wit . . .
THERE'S A VERY REAL CHANCE A ROYALS WORLD SERIES WIN COULD SPARK DEVIL'S NIGHT RIOTING IN KANSAS CITY!!!
Obviously, we're putting out the FIRST warning in hopes that our BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE NEWS reporting will prevent such a horrific circumstance . . . You're welcome.
Here are a few things to consider for locals who don't think it could happen here . . .
- All of those doughy middle-aged fans aren't from KCMO . . . They live in JoCo and jet back safely to home base at the conclusion of the game. We're not talking about the fading middle-class featured and beloved by the MLB . . . The danger is hyperlocal.
- This year Kansas City has endured one violent entertainment district incident after the next with multiple shootings in both the P&L District and Westport.
- This isn't 1985 - World Series riots recently occured in San Francisco, Boston, Philly also, let's not forget football winning riots on the otherwise sleepy Ohio State town of Columbus. It's the end of October and white people now have a history of rioting for Pumpkin spice.
- Either way, sports riots in the U.S. offer another look at the disparity which exits in the media and is often overlooked or written off . . .
- Finally, Kansas City Royals fans are already getting high on national TV and clearly not in their right mind.
And so . . . Halloween, All Saints and All Souls day summon scary times not only for people of faith but also miscreants looking for an opportunity to create a ruckus and offer the nation a glimpse at the underlying problems of Kansas City which power a 20% murder spike this year along with baseball winning.
