Big bucks for the big guy in charge of Kansas City's old and busted services and who was strangely outspoken in the push for a new convention hotel. The KC Biz Journal lists is 2014 salary @ $209,104 . . . A quarter mil isn't bad except when considering KC's streets lined with potholes and steel plates. Some dude from Olathe took the top spot. Forget Schulte on this -- how is it that cities with 1/4 of the population of KCMO can afford to pay as much (or more) for the same position as KCMO.
ReplyDeleteStupid voting pool.
DeleteIt's all about money, and there are no answers as to where the millions allocated in the budget every year go and why basic services can't be accomplished within these budgets.
ReplyDeleteI've lived in a lot of cities. The steel plate business is fkn nuts. Srsly, what the hell?
ReplyDeleteTroy is under paid. I think Cauthen, who had no real City Manager experience was paid way more.
ReplyDeleteMost assistant mangers at McDonalds could run cities better than they are being run by the so called experts. The most important skill required for a city manager is to hire the best PR hacks.
ReplyDeleteAnd he still looks like he works for $10 an hour.
ReplyDeleteLook at the list, Schulte is paid less than other managers in smaller, less complex cities.
ReplyDeleteThey really should be asking questions about the Independence Power and Light guy.
