The biggest daily newspaper in town is supported by $20 Million worth of tax breaks so this screed (with zero disclosure) doesn't really ring true and shows us yet again that corporate politics rules civic life and the local discourse. ReplyDeleteCity Hall forcing it's constituents to pay for the Kansas City Star is no surprise. The Liberal, fish wrap of record here in the city, marches hand in hand with the Democrat Party that corrupts and siphons money from tax payers in the Three Card Monte/streetcar/hotel/developer unholy tryst that leaves our sewers overflowing, streets and infrastructure broken and unsafe.
What we get for the money we are euchered out of, is Jenee Osterracist, Lewwy Doonogood and a healthy dose of pernicious, Progressive bullshit rammed down our collective throats every day of the week.
Top that off, with some "White Guilt" and the expectation of these so called "Journalists" that we drown our selves in ethnomasochistic self loathing and you have a recipe for continued entropy and economic malfeasance.
Come on in, the water is fine.
