ReplyDeleteI feel certain the transit aficionados don't want to hear this, but it IS possible to resurface streets and replace water and sewer line WITHOUT spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a 2.2 mile streetcar line.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, well-run municipalities governed by serious adults who are responsible with their taxpayers' money do it all the time.
They also staff and provide oversight to their police departments to earn the trust and cooperation of residents and provide levels of public safety which are critical to the attractiveness of their communities for residents, businesses, and visitors.
Pretty amazing how well basic city government can work.
Not in Kansas City.
