Our blog community was the FIRST to identify Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders vacating his seat an appointing an interim acting exec.
Today he showed up for work and his supporters rallied to his cause even though the circumstances surrounding his absence remain the subject of speculation.
Without our blog community his absence would have been kept secret, instead, WE FORCED KANSAS CITY NEWSIES TO START TALKING ABOUT IT!!!
We never said he was going to resign (just yet), we simply asked uncomfortable questions that most weren't willing to do . . . For the overnight this post is a place where our trolls and Mike's employees can keep themselves busy and earn those consulting dollars.

TKC, what you missed is that Sanders has never really had an opponent. Remember that he only beat Charles Wheeler and nobody else. That is the real shame here, that most voters don't know what the Jackson County legislature is and what it does.
ReplyDeleteSo much more to this story. Tony, the big game at the county right now is "who is talking?" They're trying to find out everyone who has mentioned the investigation and make life hard for them. In the process they got a lot of people wrong and there might be a few good retaliation lawsuits that come of it as well.
