KICK-ASS Reader Comment: Sprint Center Private Events Exclude Taxpayers!!!

TKC NOTE: Here's an interesting observation from our blog community that calls out our local leadership that leaves out taxpayers and all of the people enduring higher local taxes for development schemes that don't exactly work out to benefit the public.

So THAT'S why Mayor Sly and the KC Democrats aren't interested in getting as Hockey (or Hoops) Team in Sprint

I somehow get a monthly e-mail from Sprint Center -- I just clicked the "upcoming events" link for October - and , as you can see-- most of "our" Sprint Center's time is booked for --- "Private " events.

You know -- for "them" -- not "us" -- the dummy taxpayers.

Checked my email again - no invites to the "private" events ..yet.. but - I'm sure they'll be coming any day now.

  7. Kind of assuming all those "private events" mean someone is PAYING TO RENT IT.
    Example? Okay:
Oct 11-14 is Cerner Health Conference, which brings over 14,000 people (doctors, other nerds) to town and won't fit in the convention center. Not a hockey game, but kind of a good thing.

  9. fuk yeah!! we want to provide corporate event meeting space --

why actually , y'know, offer entertainment to the working taxpayers? fuk 'em

who needs them filling P& L restaurants before a game, and partying afterwards -- for 40 or 50 nights per season==

you reactionary, knee jerking, fucking retard??
