KC NoVa Earns New York Times Coverage

The Kansas City and Jackson County community focused effort to work against violence recently earned an impressive write-up from the nation's paper of record. Thanks to our blog community for sending this link: Police Program Aims to Pinpoint Those Most Likely to Commit Crimes

  1. This only goes to show how little the NYT really understands what's really happening in KCMO.
Most folks on the coasts couldn't place Kansas City on a map and still think it's in Kansas, which they think of as a flat, boring, hicksville place.
This month has seen more homicides in the city than any in a very long time.
Apparently Professor Kennedy's NoVa program, Aim4Peace, COMBAT, and the tens of millions spent on other nonprofits, contractors, consultants, facilitators, and outright grifters have some minor holes in their theories and programs.
Or the locals don't have either the skill or guts or either to pull them off.
Or they don't address the real problem.

  2. Agree, NYT is off base. Clearly clueless to how things are locally. Too bad their perspective is public knowledge now; and not that of the locals.

  3. The NYT having an opinion here makes as much sense as any of the opinions Byron thinks we all want to hear every day.

  4. Superdave, Byron's opinions are the same as the New York Times, ultra libtard.

  5. You're really good at bonding with other men. I never trust men who need to do that.

You have lots of delusions; pretending that you know more than the writer for the NYT is just one.

One of the reasons I am here, is because I am not welcome by you, or any one else that you imagine that you speak for. My comments are not meant for you. You should just ignore them.

  6. Shut up thief . NOBODY trusts your lying ass. You have told so many lies you can't keep track of them. Sad man, don't forget to lick your fingers after you wipe.

  7. NoVA might work, if teamed with an adequately-staffed and funded PD, and aggressive Stop-and-Frisk

  8. A murder rate that's going up faster than a rocket on the Fourth of July and NOVA gets an article pimping it "success". Like someone said earlier, you can't make this shit up.

  9. Byron laugh and hate all you want it will all be coming to an end rather quickly now.

  10. NYT is the same publication of writers such as Jayson Blair, they are no more credible than the average citizen reporter.

  11. Predictive policing and a 49 percent homicide clearance rate. Sounds like this shit is working like a charm.
