The story of a Kansas City Country Club bar fight is picking up steam several days after the incident given the racial and political dynamics of the story.
Remember that we talked about this controversy earlier in the week when we warned of increasing danger on the Country Club Plaza.

KCPD: Soldier assaulted by 6 people on The Plaza
KCTV5: A witness said the suspect sucker punched the soldier. The gang then began to punch and kick the prone man.
Here's the stunning conclusion . . .
"One of the men with the primary aggressor had an open tab at the bar and had left his debit card behind. Police have that person's name, but that still hasn't led to any arrests.
"It should be noted that all the involved parties were heavily intoxicated," according to the police report.
"The brutal attack has stirred outrage on social media in part because the victim and his friends are white while the attackers were young black men in their mid to late 20s."
Now, first and foremost Kansas City wants to support the troops but drunken brawling is hard to defend. Deets about who started it are always dependent on who is picking up the tab.

If the soldier was in full uniform, I guarantee you that would not have happened because many people who probably stood by waiting for reality show to unfold would have stepped in and prevented the assault as their contribution to protect a warrior who has put his life on the line for our country...in turn, I do not believe the others would have jumped a man in full uniform.
Moreover, I doubt that the warrior announced that he was a soldier....thus the sadness of the media spin on the story...content with selling a 40° view of the story to cause more of a divide by saying look at the ship in the middle of the floor as opposed to providing a 360° view of the story with a let's see what we can do to get the shot off the floor and prevent others from sitting in the same spot instead of using a toilet
I doubt that the Department of Justice will bother to investigate this hat crime any more than it bothers to investigate the Hate Crime murders of Harry Stone and Jeffery McDonald. The DOJ DOES however have time to contribute 1.5 million dollars into a film about killing white police officers.

I hope that the Commanding General of Fort Leavenworth places the Plaza off-limits to all FLVN military personnel. There is a lot of racism, some good info and a great deal of stupidity about this incident. But couple this with the entertainment district shooting and this morning and what we see is that KC can't keep tourists safe. That is important and reflects on our ability to attract tourists in the future, even with a hotel. The city's financial position is what's really important all this talk of racism in just chatter. Green in the only color that really counts.
