Kansas City Oak Park High Vs. Westboro Church: Transgender Student Rights Battle!!!

An upcoming controversy amid a student issue that might soon become a media circus.

Take a look:

Oak Park High Against WBC

Deets . . .

Social Media Mission Statement: "The Westboro Baptist church plans to protest our school October 1st from 1:15 to 2:00PM. Please join us in defending and supporting our school and our LGBTQIA students!"

We didn't blog this controversy because it involves a student and we don't care about the homecoming queen but the WBC taking aim at Kansas City scholars is an important event and should evoke even more ire and outrage at this local religious sect.

  1. If our current PC thinking is that anyone can randomly choose what gender they are, genes and physical traits be damned, why did everyone get so upset about the Rachel chick who faked being black. Surely if you can randomly choose to ignore something as inherent to your being as gender, it's okay to do the same thing with race, which is less so.

  2. I identify as Lebron James, and am still waiting to be drafted.

These high school guys are geniuses: "identify" as a girl and get to hang out in the girls locker room after PE.

  3. Chicks with Dicks aren't "Chicks" until they lose the Dick.

And how many more fucking letters are they going to ad to "LGBT?" Now we have the additional "QIA."

    I have three more: WTF.

  4. I find it astounding that some guy who claims he's a woman trapped in a man's body has a bunch of kids choose HIM to be Homecoming "drag queen" and yet no one is the least bit concerned about all the girls who have always wanted to be a true homecoming Queen.

This is pc gone amuck and I fear it is only going to get worse in the future.

  5. Gender is psychosocial, not biological. It has nothing to do with our genes or are physical traits. Our biological sex may match our gender. When it does, we are cisgender. When it does not, we are transgendered. Our gender also has nothing to do with our sexual attractions (sexual orientation. Transgendered students, like everyone else may be attracted to either sex or both sexes. It takes a lot of courage to identify as transgendered. If you think someone would change their identity just to see the opposite sex in the locker rooms, I'd dare you to spend a day identifying as the opposite sex. I'd wager this would be a profoundly uncomfortable situation and I'd wager there are some parallels to how transgendered students feel when they are unable to live their lives consistent with their gender identity. Instead of judging, try walking a mile in the other's shoes, but I bet most of us wouldn't have the courage.
