KANSAS CITY DUDE STAYS WINNING WITH RECORD BREAKING CATFISH CATCH!!!

No, this isn't exactly the most important news item in the world but it's worth mentioning for a lot of reasons.

First, the local tidbit . . .

Outdoor News Daily: Kansas City fisherman sets new state record

Deets:

"Record flathead catfish caught on Sept. 19 weighed 100 pounds and was 57-inches long."

Apparently, the guy caught it on a skimpy line after it dragged him around like something out of a Mark Twain Cliff's note passage I still didn't read . . . But I digress.

This link is important because it didn't involve tax subsidy, it's still an important achievement by a local pro athlete AND just about anybody can compete in this sport if they have a stick, line and hook which are basically free . . . So, for all the bottom dwellers out there worship millionaires with better lives than all of their fans. This is just a quick reminder that Kansas City sporting competition is out there for those brave enough to break away from mass media created hysteria.

More in a bit . . .

  3. Just don't eat it. Fish out of local waters are loaded with agricultural chemicals. Your kids will have two heads.

  4. 353 good advice! A diver told of catfish in the Kaw being bigger than the largest man on his rescue team some 30 years ago. A photo of his friend holding skeletal parts they found while fishing near 635 is added proof he told several KCKFD in our family.
