Goodbye Greg Holland

Hopefully the last Royals link of the day . . . And another sign that the team is hurting going into the playoffs: Royals: Greg Holland won't pitch again in 2015

  1. 25 man roster Paco. Davis is fine.

    Glee in your misery?

  2. His last half of the year was a dive bomb and hasn't pulled out of it.

Royals need to field the best bullpen not someone who will hand them games.

  3. I'm expecting to hear soon that Infante will be ruled out for the rest of the season too, in part to spare the $7.5 million/year 2nd baseman the embarrassment of being left off the 25 man roster when he's healthy.

  4. Holland is heading for TJ surgery. He's been playing through major pain. Instrumental in getting them to the WS last year.

All of which should be respected. Of course, just another reason for Tony to whine.

All those dumb broads I see posing in their new Royals gear with the standard hands-on-hip pose must be real torn up about this latest news.

Huge fans that they are and whatnot.

    You apparently suck at everything.

  7. 638?

You got the sack to respond?

Royals manager Ned Yost said Thursday that Greg Holland has a "significant" tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow.
Yost believes that Holland tore the ligament last August, which is pretty amazing considering how well he pitched in the postseason. Of course, this season has been a different story, with his velocity dipping as the year has gone along. He's scheduled to go for a second opinion next week, but Tommy John surgery appears likely, which would leave him sidelined for all of 2016. If that's the case, he's a clear non-tender this winter.
