Free Kansas City Parking For Troops Courtesy Of Council Dude Scott Taylor & His Upcoming Jackson County Exec Election Campaign

Here's an effort from a local politico because patriotism is rewarding in every sense of the word . . . On the bright side, this presents yet another time when taking advantage of cultivating a friendship with soldiers comes in handy in a way that's almost as lucrative as that time Halliburton earned EPIC profits from a preemptive war that most Americans would rather forget: Kansas City ordinance proposal may allow free parking for veterans

  1. Sounds like pandering to me. Or some sort of guilt. Sort of like those Kennedy boys spending everyone else's money because they felt guilty over their dad's wealth creation methods.

  2. Word 620. It's this type of pandering that has gotten this Country in the shape it is.

If he wants to allow free parking, maybe he could ask the question, "how are we going to pay for this?

This shows it is not a D or R thing, electeds do this shit all the time for both parties to garner favor.

  3. If you want to help veterans give them a ten year property tax abatement like you do the local libtard newsies. Don't toss a fucking quarter at them and expect them to thanks you. Give the low lifes the city gives hand outs to this is a joke.

  4. God proposal -- BTW -to receive a Bronze Star etc license tag from the state - your service and medals must be verified -- I had to submit a cc of my DD214 discharge papers -

so - it'll keep draft dodgers, or Air Force & Navy pogues from trying to scam free bennies. --

they always seem to be the ones with 50 different flags and vet bumper stickers and ribbons pasted all over their trucks and motorcycles.

  5. How exactly does a person distinguish between a veteran and a non-veteran dressed in everyday attire. It's novel but this ordinance is pandering, and poorly thought through. It must be amateur night again at 12th Oak.

  6. This is bull crap, why rank some veterans higher than others. So we have disabled veterans but they don't get free parking???

All gave some, some gave it all don't deminish their service by making them jump through a hoop. If you really wanted to be fair you should have used the same standard for veteran plates. Missouri already gives veterans the shaft, this is the kansas city council crapping on vets now. Thanks Scott, you just lost my vote. Signed a disabled veteran!
