A string of armed robberies is the latest terror to confront an embattled part of Kansas City and one of this town's longstanding hot spots.
Here are the mainstream media reports:
Fox4KC: Police say the suspects robbed a Dollar General, a Corner Store, and a Subway
KSHB: Two unknown black males walked into the business. One of the suspects was armed with a small silver handgun.
KMBC: Police said the man suspected in all three robberies was wearing a blue hoodie with white horizontal stripes over a red T-shirt. He also had blue jeans on.
All of these stories provide a great deal of info.

It's important to note that isn't the urban core or the inner city . . . Not so long ago this neighborhood was comprised of working class families both black and white with far fewer storefront robberies. You decide what changed to make this neighborhood take a downward slide . . . Most of the guesses will be wrong . . . The only thing that's certain is that violence and gunplay have grown worse for this community over the past few years.
