TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS ASK: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS COUNCIL DUDE RUSS JOHNSON?!? CERTAINLY NOT ON A TOY TRAIN STREETCAR JUNKET IN SPAIN?!?
Has anybody seen outgoing Council Dude Russ Johnson lately???
We know that he's out looking for work given that Mayor Sly didn't help him get that ATA gig which actually would've suited him well.
He's a real genius after all whereas Kansas City's least favorite blogger is more of a chicken genius.
Anyhoo . . .
NOW OUR BLOG COMMUNITY HAS FIRST WORD AND PRETTY AWESOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THE LAST DAYS OF COUNCIL DUDE RUSS JOHNSON ON THE CITY COUNCIL!!!
Here's the message and a rather incisive quandary from Kansas City insiders . . .
KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS ASK: "Where's Russ?? Gosh, I heard he may be in SPAIN!!! On the City's dime!!! For the past 3 WEEKS!!! Looking at streetcars!!!!"
It's not that he doesn't need a vacay . . . And this time of year is lovely in España if all of the late night soft porn on HBO watched during the late 80s has informed correctly. But keeping a new KC trip to Spain a bigger secret than the last debacle doesn't bode well for local taxpayers worried about City Hall transparency.
Developing . . .
So it's obvious the last trip to Zaragoza was outed because he didn't get first in line. I understand.
ReplyDeleteI HERD HE WAS IN AFFRIIKA FETCHING NIGRAS FOR THE TOUY TRANE BOONEDOOGIE!!!! ZOMG
ReplyDeleteFor the love of God, get outside Tony.
ReplyDeleteGreat game at the K today. Cold beer, good parking, and nice come back win.
Or, you can continue taking pics of women so you can get comments.
Baseball good. Creepy posting of women on-line, not so much.
When you going to be on Ruckus again?
Ever heard of Facebook? He's in town.
ReplyDeleteIs there ANYTHING you won't believe?
p.s. ZOMG
5:16: Toot toot. Predictable hoot. Clunk.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to his twitter? He cancelled that. Russ and his facebook haven't been in town in a month. Sorry, try again Sly bitch.
ReplyDeleteWherever there is streetcar track, you will find MENSABOY!
ReplyDeleteRuss Mensa is still on the Kansas City Streetcar Authority. And on KCSA IRS FORM 990 he claims he only works one hour per work for the KCSA.
ReplyDeleteOne hour per week sorry.
ReplyDeleteDon't ruin mensa boy's vacation. He will come back and make life very hard on motorists in Clay County.
ReplyDeleteMr. Tony,
ReplyDeleteSON OF A BITCH!!!!! WHAT THE FUCKING HELL?
Pardon me.

Anyone who hires this grifter deserves to go bankrupt. And why did James allow this taxpayer funded junket?
M
Hey James!!! You are already spending in excess of 23 MILLION PER FREAKING MILE FOR THAT DAMNABLE TOY TRAIN. Leave some tax payer cash on your plate for manners.
Doesn't Circo as Mayor pro tem have to approve this ghastly waste of my money? KCPL you are in for a cheap ride!
It's too bad, Russ was a somewhat good councilman when it came to neighborhood stuff. I think I can detect that TKC doesn't totally hate him. But he got sold a faulty bill of goods on this train stuff. There's just no way it's going to work out like he said. Sorry Russ.
ReplyDeleteOf course. He's in Pamploma,Spain for the annual running of the bulls.
ReplyDeleteAnon 517... Tony isnt a threat to be on Ruckus again because Mike Shanin has no betzim. He claims not to be responsible for selecting who goes on the show. Putting aside that Tony may be the most well informed and well connected person commenting on the local political scene, Big Mike cant stand that several activist groups find TKC not to be their cup of tea. And Shanin probably doesn't even drink tea!!! Shame on you, Big Mike Shanin!!! Tony was probably the last lifeline thrown to you that would have kept Schmuckus relevant. As Schmuckus wends its way towards oblivion, the one thing you wont be able to say is that Tony Botello didn't offer to help keep your show afloat. I hope that "Fael" Abouhalkah comes back for the last show so that he, Steve Rose and Glorioso (the three "blow hards" or "Amigos") can send you and Schmuckus off to oblivion. If it were up to me, as the cameras were fading out, Glorioso could be highlighted screeching out something like "the horror, the horror" sort of like Apocalypse Now.
ReplyDeleteClank, clank, clank, toot toot toot
ReplyDeleteClunk, clunk, clunk, ding ding ding
It's a success!!!
Who the fuck cares about Russ Johnson??? Wherever he went or is going, please take Troy Schulte with you.
ReplyDelete@845, how is the cool aid?
ReplyDeleteYou need an insight on Tony's capacity? Get his intel on the Royals?
Guy is born angry.
Smart people get away from him.
But you keep up the love.
How;s the ebola thing coming?
Headline Correction:
ReplyDeleteTKC TIPSTERS ASK: "Where's Russ, I WANT TO KICK HIS ASS"
hope he stays lost permanently. stop all search and welfare concern efforts.
ReplyDeleteGenerally, I like Russ. But this train thing is a loser. I think @7:48 has the best take on him. Given a different set of circumstances, he would have made a good mayor.
ReplyDeleteJohnson and the streetcar fiasco is just another example of what happens when you elect people who have no engagement or even interest in what a city government actually is responsible for and simply sit in their offices waiting for someone to show up with a REALLY BIG idea/project that they can amuse themselves with. Streetcars, soccer fields, wi-fi projects, hotels...it's just one thing after another.
ReplyDeleteAnd meanwhile the basics of public safety, street maintenance, dangerous building demolition, common sense zoning, and all the rest get no attention or oversight at all.
It's like a homeowner being sold an expensive wine cellar, while at the same time they ignore basic upkeep on their house, paying insurance premiums, building a college fund for their kids, addressing basic health needs, or even paying any attention to their income's ability to pay for it.
The salesman was just so good!
There are already long lines on the 22nd floor of city hall ready to make their pitches to the newbies.
Taxpayers, man your wallets!
Awe hell. Every four years I say it. I hope the next council is better. Not that there aren't always a few hard working individuals but they are generally never given their due. These under qualified (Circo)and smart but off track (Johnson) always end up at the front of the line when they handed out the "Most likely to screw things up" line. In Johnson's case I think he may have been hoping for a legacy. In Circo's case, she is just in way over her head.
ReplyDeleteRuss is patiently waiting at the Trophy store to pickup his bronze plaque with his name on it for the Street Car AND the proposed single terminal airport.
