Show-Me Sen. Claire McCaskill Taking On Missouri Legislature Intern Hot Mess After LeVota Sex Harassment Scandal Disgrace
Missouri's most powerful political lady isn't wasting any time trying to gain political capital after the downfall of a former Democratic Party ally . . . Credit to ladies of the Democratic Party to try and blame shift this and keep it back on track as a partisan issue. Check it: McCaskill calls for advocacy group to give Missouri Capitol interns 'someone to talk to'
Paul LeVota thought he was too clever to be caught. What academic in his or her right mind would send a young female college student into that debauche shark tank of sexual predators in Jeff City anyway.
ReplyDeleteCome on was the college brain dead. Nothwithstanding LeVota and Diehl's culpability doesn't the shit for brains college official that authorized this intern program share half the blame.
Typical mccaskill, working hard to address an issue that effects just how many citizens? But she's right there with a vote for TPP and the Kleptocracy, that effects all of us still lucky enough to have a job.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if there weren’t internship programs, fewer students would long to save the world and enter politics. A win for everyone.

You take a bunch of inbred crackers, most of whom lawyers, give them expense accounts and make them hang out in the jerkwater state capital. What is there for them to do other than play hide-the-salami with every attractive 20-something sent to ... um ... serve their needs?
ReplyDelete8:05 and 8:08 said it perfectly. These little poli sci majors are on track to become the next generation of parasites. The only good that can come out of mixing with the older generation is it might actually open their eyes and they might chose a new career.
ReplyDeleteClaire "why you people so hostile" McCaskill. What a tool.
ReplyDeleteThese interns don't need anyone else to talk to. God knows we have a shitload of investigative agencies, chaplains and police already.
ReplyDeleteThese gals have been telling males NO since they were in 8th grade. I can guarantee if one of these interns was attracted to a male we would never hear a word about appropriateness or what a perv the guy is.
We already have an ethics committee. Apparently the legislature itself just hasn't come to terms with what is or isn't appropriate. It can not be illegal to ask an intern out on a date. It already is illegal to create undo sexual pressure that is job related. It is not a case of writing a new law or creating a new agency every time some ass hat does not follow the law or conducts himself like a jerk. It is a matter of enforcing existing laws, the ethics committee making appropriate rule decisions and not making up laws to fit a political agenda.
Interns should get $15/hour. It is only fair.
ReplyDeleteMcCaskil is so reactionary
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Claire got her start interning should be enough to kill the program.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone believe anything this Douche bag says?
