  3. Who would have thought Uncle Cozell's raggety assed old shack would become an artsy-fartsy, trendy thing in KC? I'm surprised HUD hasn't jumped in to spend billions of my tax dollars on this. The article didn't say if there was going to be a common out house so I assume it will be like pre 2008 crash housing; Lots of buyers and no one sticking around to make a payment.

  5. When I was little, we had tiny house villages. We called them trailer parks. Most hipsters wouldn't go near one. There's one in Blue Summit.

  6. But these "tiny houses" will cost 100K plus and will be subsidized and probably obtain special loans. Then in a few years they will be worth zero and will be bulldozed. But will those who live there be known as tiny home trash?

  10. I get the desire to downsize / right-size, and to be efficient, and in concept agree that few people actually need a 5,000sf McMansion, but like everything else a good idea has been taken way past the point of logic in an attempt to be the "hippest hipster" around. Sure, there are a lot of people who could very happy in a well design 1,000sf home. There aren't too many who could find long-term use of a 150sf shack that requires pooping in the shower and cooking with a hot-plate while laying in bed.

  11. Where do you cook, do laundry, keep your cleaning supplies, winter blankets. I guess you buy this stuff when you need it and throw it in the dump at the end of the day. Or, are these intended to be flops for alcoholics to drink themselves to death in
