Kansas City Poet Iris Appelquist is an original muse of this blog and one of the most accomplished young artists in Kansas City. She is regularly featured in journals and a variety of publications. Some might recognize her poetry from public radio. Just a few hours ago, Vice.com featured an out of context painting tribute to her and Prospero's book store . . . Kinda cool but we hear the lady poet is actually quiet nice and not prone to beat a dude down at all.
