Nationwide 15 percent of Americans are without health insurance. That is right at 45 million people or 30 percent more than before Obamacare. Do your own research. To make it worse poor folks are not paying their share of the bill - the part the insurance companies do not cover and are the responsibility of the patient (usually 20 percent when hospitals are involved).
ReplyDeleteWhat makes it worse is the Obamacare bill did nothing to eliminate the scam involving near all insurance company/hospital contracts. Here is how it works. Lets say the hospital bills a room at $2000.00 per day. Your insurance policy says it pays 80 percent of that and you must pay the remaining 20 percent. The problem is the insurance company has a contract that tells the hospital the max they pay for a room is say $400.00. That's great for the insurance company, but you still end up being billed for $400.00 (20 Percent of the original $2000.00). Now, it might make sense to you that the insurance company should get the best deal they can, but what they are actually doing is making the hospital raise the price of a room in order to bill the patient to make up the difference the insurance company doesn't pay. Where (in a non crooked arrangement) you might normally see a room billed at $1,000.00 the hospital now bills the room at $2,000.00 in order to get their money, even if you get the screws. This is why band-aids are ten bucks and a box of Kleenex is $25.00. The hospital is going to get their money no matter how much creative accounting is required. It isn't just the poor folks that are getting screwed either. This is also exactly why millions of Americans will declare bankruptcy under Obamacare. If you think I am bullshitting just check with someone who deals with health insurance billing. This shit is going on every day. Welcome to the real Obamacare program.
