Westport isn't downtown and the businesses there aren't subsidized by the taxpayers.
There aren't enough artists or makers or even a rooftop pool for pretentious entrepreneurs to gather and share their business plans.
And most importantly, it's not even on the streetcar line!
I'm still here in the real Brooklyn making %800/hr making kale smoothies,and haven't had a chance to improve my education or skills, but the city government has just promised that we'll all get paid a lot more just because.

ReplyDeleteGangsters like Bill Nigro keep Westport from ever getting any better. He and his bar buddies are draining the area for all its worth. First they killed the shops, now they are all fighting over the scraps.
ReplyDeleteSucessful stories of the urban core bother me, because they do not fit my narrative and make me feel like people are questioning the validity and intelligience of my own suburban lifestyle choice.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I feel like other areas have to be made to appear to fail, in order for me to feel successful, but thats just how it works in my fragile psyche. Also, I somtime fear my penis might not be big enough for women to really be satisfied by it, and a secretly wonder if the all laugh at me behind my back. I'm sure that's unrelated.
Wesport is nice, just not on weekends. Wish there was some way to have a better family friendly environment like that.
