A note on the politics and culture of our City Council seems appropriate as PrideFest approaches in the midst of the local silly election season.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY LGBT DENIZENS LOOK FORWARD TO THE LARGEST GAY CONTINGENT THE CITY COUNCIL HAS EVER SEEN AFTER THE ELECTION!!!

Now, everybody knows and is comfortable with cheering for Jolie Justus as she cruises toward an easy 4th District win and will become Kansas City's first OPENLY GAY council member.



However . . .

KANSAS CITY LBGT INSIDERS ALSO HOPE THAT NOT ONE BUT TWO "DOWN LOW" COUNCIL MEMBERS WILL MAKE THIS LEGISLATIVE BODY EVEN MORE GAY FRIENDLY!!!

Do the own math here but one Council dude's preference as pretty well known among just about everybody . . . Whilst another upcoming City Hall politico is far more discreet. If they don't feel like making it public, that's their biz . . . But the hope that Kansas City can domestic partner health benefits and gay marriage pension plans for the LGBT community is a matter of public concern. And some hope that maybe the proclivities of the new council will push the local LGBT agenda forward.

    Marx made the theory, Lenin taught how it changed since Marxist times. Things like dual power and imperialism. Things have changed since the 1800. Marxist Leninist say things haven't changed since 1900. Mao came along and added more to this. By the 70's Communism died out. For City Hall to think identity politics is going to bring in a new age of imperialism is sheer dogma. The waves of revolution are over.
