- Cindy Circo won at-large and against the will of most 5th District voters. Ms. Circo is a prime example of why KCMO at-large council seats are nothing more than a legacy of segregation.
- Nobody knows much about Ms. Canady . . . She has a solid rep as a prosecutor and important people speak well of her . . . But politically she's an unknown commodity. Siding with the mostly despicable Council Lady Circo who was recently thwarted in a 5th District At-Large residency ruckus casts a horrible shadow on her campaign.
- Sexy Cindy is the mayor's top political advocate . . . Taking fundraising cash from her puts Ms. Canady squarely in the clutches of Mayor Sly who is decreasing in popularity everywhere but among Downtown KCMO Hipsters and his consultants.

ReplyDeleteI won't support her now. I am a 5th district resident and I have no respect for Circo or her opinion. She has done nothing except what is in her own interest and she is controlled by the Mayor. I don't think anyone should be that controlled. This just proves Canady is controlled too and that didn't work out so well for us the past 8 years. Plus, her part in the residency fraud has tarnished her as a council member and she should just go away and don't kid herself that we care about her opinion.

If the choice is between Alyssia and Ken Baacus, there's really not much choice at all. So, I see her winning this election but I cannot vote for her and even if I could I wouldn't.

I would have voted for her but because of her involvement with Circo I just can't. Circo is crooked and this appears to be a ploy to replace her voting power for Sly's benefit. He needs to be impeached. He is the biggest POS we have had in decades. Kansas City needs to wake up and demand reform before this assholes bankrupt us. The manipulation and corruption is rampant, and none of them are listening to the taxpayers who are sick and tired of their grandiose schemes. We need infrastructure improvements not fancy downtown hotels that will never give us a return for the taxpayer investment in our life time. All this nonsense needs to stop and we need to fix what we have instead of forking out billions (yes billions) of corporate welfare to the elite few who know how to work the system. Look how well Power and Light has performed (what a joke) and you will see how well the rest of this crooked crap will do in the future. As for me if I know Circo and Sly are behind any of the candidates my vote will go elsewhere. I will not support those 2 ever.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good thing Cindy was unopposed because a decent candidate would have ousted her in her reelection no matter how much money the downtown and Sly group gave her to continue screwing the people of KC. She is viewed by the majority of the 5th district as the worst council member in a very long time. So enjoy your last weeks of pleasant conversation with us because as soon as you are gone you will hear what we all think of you. Good riddance.
