The biggest fight in Kansas City politics amid this election season has FINALLY started.
To wit . . .
KICK-ASS INSIDERS REPORT COUNCIL DUDE GLOVER SENDING HIS ELECTION TEAM INTO BROOKSIDE/WALDO TO DRUM UP SUPPORT!!!
The door-to-door effort started this week among frequent voters and locals in the know who report the team punching all the data collected into their smartphones.
This is an important step for the Council Dude who doesn't like to campaign but realizes that he faces serious competition from an experienced contender.
It seems that Council Dude Glover's team is prepared to sling a bit of dirt about his opponent and her troubled political history.
So far Councilman Glover has endured neighborhood development complaints and answers the criticism with the fact that at City Hall he has a more extensive record of creating jobs for low income workers than any other elected official.
Still, it seems that his part in streetcar development will be the toughest proposition to sell Kansas City voters who defeated the effort by a nearly landslide margin. More than any other candidate: Council Dude Glover must answer voters AGAINST the toy train.
Put simply: Mayor Sly James might have defeated Councilman Glover long before this election ever started.
Still, Team Glover taking to the streets is a good sign.
Also . . . Through his many contacts in the Latino community . . . We've already heard word back that Council Dude Glover wants to to lighten up. That's not going to happen. This blog doesn't do endorsements and we're responsible to OUR KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY first and foremost when writing in this space.

KANSAS CITY - A former Jackson County, Mo., official and her husband were among those indicted by a federal grand jury today for conspiracy and wire fraud for their role in a scheme to engage in mortgage fraud. Katheryn J. Shields, 60, Phillip F. Cardarella, 59, James Elliott Coleman, 58, Raymond Walter Zwego, Jr., 58, and James R. Rhoades, 48, all of Kansas City, Mo., Larry E. Barshaw, 56, and Linda M. Thompson-Barshaw, 57, both of Kansas City, Kan., Monty J. Kinman, 25, of Overland Park, Kan., Rick A. Peterson, 32, of Lenexa, Kan., Jeremy A. Plagman, 29, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Michael Rodd, 52, of Olathe, Kan., were charged in a 12-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury.
I am voting AGAINST any current member. Not because I agree with the other candidates, but because at least we will have a fighting chance to have a chance to slow down or reverse what this group has done. They haven't put a single issue to a city wide vote. They knew that this ridiculous spending spree would never survive public scrutiny. Sly has had 12 votes every time he walked into chamber. It's time for that to change. Spread the word, call your friends. Use social media, say no to the current members. Make them earn our votes.

ReplyDeleteProbably not hard to answer for pro-streetcar votes in BKS and Waldo, where streetcar support remains in the 55%-60% range.
ReplyDeleteThis aint the Northland, Tony Joco, people here LIKE this city and want to see it thrive. We also travel, often to nice, growing cities with functional public transit and reasonable investment in urban infrastructure and many of us have seen first hand that the SMARTKC and anti-city propaganda about transit is chicken-little antics.
Just like your lies and hysterics didn't sway any votes in midtown or downtown, you also didn't sway any votes in the SW corridor, where voters are educated, informed and not hoodwinked by "Jim Crow' mailers or Show-Me funded anti-city sentiment.
Glover is a BIG supporter of expansion of streetcar into Brookside, the ill conceived Whole Foods at 51st Street, demolishing Kemper, preventing reuse of Westport School for housing, convention hotel supporter, building a new KCI and his jobs & streets ordinance isn't going anywhere - keep in mind he proposed it over a decade ago and got no support. Also he is a sure vote for Mayor Sly if re-elected. Send Glover home and allow him to practice law full time - by-the-way he can certainly use the practice!!

Actually it cost him a building on campus. I digress. Here is my exit plan. When the U-Haul business dries up, I am going to partition the building and lease one side to a wig store and the other side to a catfish seller.

The things that make property valuable besides the house and grounds, like location, schools, good neighborhood, are negated when the surrounding area becomes inundated with jigaboos. The neighborhoods are no longer safe to raise children, and the safety factor of having a good neighbor next door is no longer there, because no matter what most anti racials will admit, they do not want to live in a neighborhood around bootlips. Spades do not make good neighbors, and do not want human white neighbors. They allow situations to occur that will cause human whites to vacate areas. Thieving, gang activity, drug selling, prostitution, and all of the other things that go along with nigger communities become rampant, and the health of the neighborhood dies. Property values decline rapidly, along with the condition of the property. After Dindu Nuffins take over a neighborhood, the property is not worth owning, thus causing the property owner to sell at a loss just to get away from the area, because no self respecting white human will live around niggers, or has the desire to do so. There are no customers to sell to except some more no good blackies. They are the reason a lot of formerly good neighborhoods fall to decay.

The problem with all this talk about how other cities utilize mass transit just doesn't jive with our reality here. I travel too and I see those other cities with full buses and taxi's everywhere. I see the cost of rental cars and parking being expensive and not affordable for the average person. I see crowded highways and urban streets that you don't want to drive on. I see dense business centers. I also see mass commutes from distant communities (the hated suburbs) supporting them.
ReplyDeleteI always thought the point was accessing a large geographic area easily and quickly, not a short hop ride that may be cost prohibitive in the big scheme of things.
The plain, simple truth is: NIGGERS collapse property values, faster than any other kind of blight. When NIGGERS complete their invasion of Waldo, the area will look like Seventy-Fifth and Troost......Really! There'll be very little difference and see how the property on Troost has fallen into the sewer...

Every fucking numbnuts wants a wholefoods or trader joe's or some other lame ass cute name concept box store. People that think this way will want to breed people in test tubes on an assembly line. This corporate concept mentality is destroying the rich textural world I like living in. I have seen these light weights rip the guts out of their "old timey house" and replace rich ornamentation and solid oak woodwork with minimalist "industrial look" particle board, white wood and plastic. Get out of my city you simple minded jack offs!
