TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR MEAN JEAN PETERS BAKER FIRES BACK AGAINST KANSAS CITY PRIEST ANGRY LETTER!!!
Jackson County Prosecutor "Mean" Jean Peters Baker probably surprised a South Kansas City priest who called her out in a recent letter when she answered his remarks.
Normally, politicos don't take community leaders to task about their statements but in a bold move the JaxCo Prosecutor recently moved to challenge Fr. Gregory J. Lockwood about his remarks.
Also, proving that OUR BLOG COMMUNITY LEADS THE LOCAL DISCOURSE . . . Our Sunday Special on this topic clearly resonated throughout the metro and the Catholic community around the world.
Now . . .
CHECK OUT TKC FIRST WORD ABOUT THE JAXCO "MEAN" JEAN PETERS BAKER ANSWER TO A CATHOLIC PRIEST REGARDING AN ANGRY LETTER CALLING HER OUT!!!
Kansas City Insiders tell us: "Love her or hate her, it is clear she doesn't back down from a fight . . . Especially when kids are involved."
Here's the word FIRST on TKC:
Kansas City Insider: "Okay... Mean Jean doesn't back down to pissed priest... Rumor is that Mean Jean was surprised and upset a member of the cloth would send out such an inflammatory and inaccurate letter to his church. So she tried calling and when he didn't answer she sent a letter to his church too!!! Correcting his errors and reminding him that "No one is above the law, no matter our position or title."
Now, this letter is floating around Catholic churches in Kansas City and this is the FIRST excerpt in fairness and because we were the first to excerpt Fr. Lockwood's letter too.
We talked to Catholic Insiders about the response letter as well and they remind us that Fr. Lockwood was friends with Bishop Finn so the tone of his letter is likely personal and powered by the very close ties he has to the situation. We'll have more on that later . . .
Meanwhile, this continued sparing with the Catholic hierarchy is unprecedented for a local elected official and reveals that Prosecutor Peters Baker is serious about defending her reputation and her prosecution of Bishop Finn.
This one isn't for TKC to decide only report FIRST and leave up to God and then our KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY to a somewhat lesser extend. Natch.
Developing . . .
She ain't kidding. This was more than just a bold move, you should have called this truth to a higher power TKC. We'll see how this one plays out.
ReplyDeleteGood for her that she basically told him to shut his fucking pie hole.
ReplyDeleteHe is free to say what he wants. She is free to tell him that he is full of shit.
Welcome to America.
I think it is clear that Lockwood was probably locking wood with Finn. Not to mention all that educating of young boys he does without pants.
ReplyDeleteI still want to understand the Catholic mindset that when presented with evidence that a priest is committing a crime their first thought is not "we need to call the police." even now they set up some committee to investigate
ReplyDeleteFinn imported this guy from Saint Louis a few years ago. Ol' buddy-boy system at work.
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic religion these days is a lot like the Republican party ... anybody who is still a devout member almost certainly is some kind of extreme right-wing looney. Both organizations have driven out most everyone else.
ReplyDeleteYes, TKC is right on top of every pissing contest in KC!
ReplyDeleteOne would hope that the Jackson County Prosecutor would have more to do than engage in such contests with people who disagree with her, but it also looks like she is in a "thin skin" contest with Clay Chastain.
What's she gonna do now? Take a page out of Chastain's book and threaten to sue anybody who says mean things about her?
And no, 7:15, Father Lockwood's letter does not represent the "Catholic mindset." It represents Father Lockwood's opinion, and only his opinion.
That Tony thinks that this pissing contest is some sort of major news says more about his news judgment and his desperation to break some story, any story, that is not already all over the real media than it does about the newsworthiness of this story.
But hey, anything to get clicks and comments in the dying world of vanity blogging, right Tony?
Of course, the punchline is that the case has been removed from the record. Finn was never "convicted" to begin with, he was "found guilty" of a misdemeanor and never sentenced. It has since been removed from his and the public record.
ReplyDeleteTo say that Finn was convicted was never accurate. To say now that he has a "record" is no longer accurate. In short, it's as if it never happened.
". . . you should have called this truth to a higher power TKC."
ReplyDeleteThis is a laugh. Who has more power? The Jackson County Prosecutor or the pastor of one of a hundred Catholic parishes?
7:28
ReplyDeleteThe Catholic Church IS the Republican Party
Why does Mean Jean wear those "boy cut" trousers?
ReplyDeleteShe said... Correcting his errors and reminding him that "No one is above the law, no matter our position or title." Does that mean she is taking on Sly? Or does that depend on the definition of "no one"?
ReplyDeleteExcellent point 7:55. Maybe only those who fit her personal political agenda.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for her to charge her first school superintendent when a teacher gets caught sexually abusing a student.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, but Tony did get a copy of Lockwood's letter, but can't get a copy of Mean Jean's letter, so he relies on an single, anonymous "insider" source to tell us TKC readers -- in very vague general terms -- what it said.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant reporting, Tony!
7:55
ReplyDeleteShe's really Sanders' brother in drag.
Baker simply cannot take criticism or even disagreement. She is a tin pot dictator wannabe. No surprise she'd overreact to the priest's comments.
ReplyDeleteInsight's are amazing.
ReplyDeleteLike most before you, you will likely move on and leave this blog those identified as bear, cum guy, and N-word guy.
What's cool for Tony, is that this self selection process will leave him with sycophants that actually take the bait.
Drone on.
No one is above the law....Oh really Jean?
ReplyDeleteas someone who is actually out in the world we were all laughing at your bitter pissing last Sunday.
ReplyDelete9:36, yeah sycophants and pussies like the N-word guy who talk tough on the Internet, but pee their pants at the sight of any black person.
ReplyDeleteSo very assuming.
DeleteANY poster could be black or blended slinging the n*gger tag as freely as Y-T!!! N*GGER -- endearment-- ?? derogatory- - ?? Gotta consider intent...and those 'burb a-holes with potty mouth'd crap tunes blasting from the Escalades are N*GGAH KRACKAHs...the lowlifes of all stripes.
A Jackson County prosecutor "standing up" to a priest who wrote mean things about here takes all the maturity and courage of Sam Brownback "standing up" to the high school kid who tweeted mean things about him.
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:04
ReplyDeleteGood comment.
Its only "standing up" when its to someone with more power than you. That's why its called "speaking truth to power".
Wonder why leadership at Christ the King wld adamantly defend pedophile cover-up shill like not-a-bishop-anymore Finn?
ReplyDeleteMaybe there's a history of collusion there that most Catholics in the SW corridor know abt...like maybe a questionable transfer from a neighboring Parish in the wake of an abuse accusation?
The reason the Catholic Church is getting "singled out" is not because they abuse more kids than other institutions, it because EVERYWHERE ELSE when this shit happen ppl ostracize and punish the offenders, but the Church engages in cover-ups and enabling. Not even convicts tolerate that shit. The Catholic Church, especially it's hierarchy and the preisthood, is basically an elaborate dating service for gay pedophiles and has been for centuries.
Gobble d gook, boo blah, fa flah, doo bee da, fu gaaaa
ReplyDeleteSummery of today's local social media discourse
Gobble d gook, boo blah, fa flah, doo bee da, fu gaaaa
ReplyDelete(Actual substance and useful value)
10:11 wake up. I'm not sure if your fantasy reality is something you made up for your own reasons or are simply listening to some other idiot. Finn did not cover up for a pedophile. He was never charged with that nor was he found guilty of that. Nor did he ever move people around who were credibly accused.
ReplyDeleteYour comment that, "they abuse more kids than other institution" has been proven false countless times. Insurance companies say that abuse claims are similar across all denominations. A famous study by Charol Shakeshaft showed that kids were 100x more likely to be abused in a public school. You are correct though that 90% of the rare accusations against priests involve homosexual activity - another problem that the Church has made improvements in in recent years.
Reread for comprehension, statue worshiper.
DeleteOr find an "authority" to explain it to you since you embrace illiteracy, ignorance, and heirarchical hocus pocus designed to keep you blind, dumb and docile.
It is not a surprise to any Catholic who keeps up with current events in this diocese that Fr. Lockwood is an apologist for and supporter of Bishop Finn. The letter is reflective of that bias--which the majority of local Catholics consider extreme.
ReplyDeleteJudge dismisses Chastain's lawsuit against Mayor James
ReplyDelete10:52 Perhaps the majority of catholics at Visitation and Thomas More but not the majority of Catholics in the rest of the diocese.
ReplyDelete9:36 IS an internet "tough guy". A democrat liberal pussy who ISN'T afraid of niggers because his kind is the first to drop on their knee or bend over so they can swallow black juice or lubricate their asshole!
ReplyDeletePussy assed white boy.
DeleteYou are a shame to your race. You guys used to be the bravest people the earth had ever seen. Now you are cowering, quaking pussies.
11:08 I am not from either Vis or STM and am speaking of those from south of the river and not from the groups gathered at C the K or St. Patrick downtown. As for north of the river, I have less contact. South of the river, with exception of the two Latin-Mass enclaves mentioned above, there was a sigh of relief.
ReplyDelete^^ translation: "I go to SFX 5-6 times a year"
ReplyDelete10:26 & 10:28 FTW. Both made good points.
ReplyDeleteSo when is Tony going to break the news that his buddy Clay's lawsuit got thrown out the window?
ReplyDeleteIt happened two hours ago. Thought Tony would be right on top of it.
Kansas City Insiders tell us: "Love her or hate her, it is clear she doesn't back down from a fight . . . Especially when kids are involved." Are you fucking kidding me??? she let a girl underage be raped repeatedly and was left out on her front lawn propped up and unconscious and said she didnt have the evidence to prove anything? fuck you tkc you are a true money maker at doing nothing you racist sleeze
ReplyDeleteShe won't have to charge a school superintendent when a teacher abuses a child 8:18, because they will call the police and not have a investigation/coverup of their own.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, right. Cause that's what they have always done!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, the response of school districts when one of their own gets caught is to quietly fire the guy, then say nothing to the next place that he goes to for a job.
What's different these days is the parents, not the school district, are calling the cops.
@1241, Tony is always slow on events that don't support his point of view.
ReplyDeleteEbola alert was for the benefit of Klan posts. Epidemic, not so much.
12:51 nailed it. Moreover, there are laws that make it harder to sue school officials than church officials. And of course, there is less money so More Work + Less Money = No interest from lawyers.
ReplyDeleteTony, you are LATE with the news that the judge threw that insane person, Clay Chastain, out of her courtroom on his ear! Don't you realize kowtowing to Clay makes you look like a fool?
ReplyDelete^^^^^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteWrong thread. TKC already posted that an hour ago.
Fix your browser.
Wow. This is now a front page story in the Star? Are you kidding me? Since when is a small parish pastor sending a letter to his parishioners front page news in the Star?
ReplyDeleteOh wait... it's a Judy Thomas byline. So Mean Jean writes a letter that reads more like a candidate flyer and her friend Judy puts it on the front page of the Star practically the same day.
Her connection to the Judy Thomas PR wing at the Star all but confirms the suspicions that the guilty verdict was a negotiated one as several lawyers have opined. Mean Jean gets her PR win in an election year and the diocese avoids a million dollar defense bill.
And when anyone tries to expose the SNAP/Randles/Thomas and apparently Mean Jean cabal they must be dealt with lest the gravy train be disrupted.
How dare Fr. Lockwood try to set the record straight?
What many of you may not know is that Father Lockwood is a married priest. He was a Lutheran clergy member, and was ordained in STL. He is married with children, and I have to say has no idea what the vow of celibacy is like and really shouldn't comment on 2000 years of church history when he has been Catholic for less than 30 years.
ReplyDelete3:05 - 30 years as an adult. Following your logic, no priest or theologian under the age of 48 should comment on church history either.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Jean came off good in this letter. She's a lot more like a publicity hound. Why would you go out of your way to set the record straight on a parish newsletter? Guess she must be desperate.
ReplyDeleteI always love the excuse these deviant catholics give to justify their kiddie-diddlers: " our pedophiles are no worse than the public school pedophiles. "
ReplyDeleteThese are some twisted fucks.
I think the bigger question is why doesn't anyone do something about the public school problem since it's up to 100x worse?
ReplyDeleteLike it or not, every Catholic church and school website has links and numbers of who to call if you suspect anything. You can't even be a student summer camp counselor without going through abuse prevention training.
Where is this same info on any public school site? What programs do their teachers and staff go through? Where is the media pressure to do so?
This isn't about taking the light off the Catholic Church, it's about adding a light where there is a huge problem.
WTF kind of drugs are you on 2:45?
ReplyDeleteYour comment: "all but confirms the suspicions that the guilty verdict was a negotiated one as several lawyers have opined".
You dipshit, it's no secret that the "guilty verdict" was plea deal negotiated by the prosecutor and Finn's attorneys and agreed to by Finn!
I don't celebrate the bishop's resignation. But you, Lockwood and others keep espousing this tin foil hat conspiracy theory bullshit. On the wacko meter Lockwood's letter ranks right up there with cardinal Burke's statement that altar girls are the reason the Catholic church doesn't have more priest vocations.
If it's no secret that the guilty verdict was a plea deal negotiated by the prosecutor, then why does the prosecutor continue to pretend otherwise? In her letter to Lockwood today in the Star she is quoted as saying, “On September 6, 2012, a Jackson County Judge heard the facts of the case and found him guilty of that charge.”
ReplyDeleteSo if the verdict was a deal, what was/is the agenda for making it appear to be something else? And why go on a very public crusade to "clear your name" when Lockwood's letter appears now to be confirmed as accurate?
3:10, correct, you have to be at least 49 to comment on church history.
ReplyDeleteSince "church history" pretty much exclusively lies and make beleive, shouldn't you be able to comment on it when you are 5-8 years old an living in a fantasy land of invention and free play anyway.
ReplyDeleteShe's stil a "hottie". Yummy.
ReplyDeleteShe is a nasty, evil pro-choice political dictator who is highly selective in her enactment of "justice" in this community. Her letter is nothing but political theater and an example of further persecution of the Catholic Church by secular, liberal Democrat leaders in the community.
