Not so long ago Congressman Todd Akin set off a firestorm by using the term "legitimate rape" in an interview which destroyed his candidacy against incumbent Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill - Even today the consequences of the gaffe could have implications on upcoming Kansas City Council elections.
Dead Tree Media hacks have hinted at a connection betwixt Northland 1st District City council front runner Heather Hall and Congressman Todd Akin but they never reported a connection because they're too busy giving interviews on their love of journalism.

"In February of 2012, I was contacted by a local man who knew Mr. Akin from his childhood. He said he was looking for a Kansas City person to help in his US Senate Campaign. I Googled him and thought it seemed like a perfect opportunity to teach my children about national politics. What a lesson we all learned. Mr. Akin is a nice man and I learned a lot about the political process during the approximate 8 months I worked on his campaign. It was difficult after the remarks, but as my son pointed out, “Mom, you made a commitment, and we keep our commitments.”
"This election for Kansas City, Missouri City Council is important to me. District 1 needs a voice in City Hall and I am committed to standing up for the Northland on Public Safety, Infrastructure and Small Business Growth."

These are the same scumbags who want you to forget that Mayor James is an ineligible candidate due to his sloppy tax negligence.
