TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TODAY'S MESSAGES FROM KANSAS CITY COUNCIL CONTENDERS!!!

In the midst of the Kansas City silly season . . . Here's the latest missives from council contenders hoping to distinguish themselves from the crowd.

Take a look:

3rd District At-Large Candidate Rev. Stephan Gordon Offers Insight Into The Search For A New Missouri Auditor

Rev. Gordon: "Governor Jay Nixon should move forward and appoint the most qualified person to the state auditor job and not allow this to become a circus."

2nd District At-Large Candidate Jason Hodges Hits Supporters With This Campaign Ask

"This idea of “we” is a central focus in my campaign to be the 2nd District At-Large City Council Member. I believe that we are stronger together than we are apart. I believe that Kansas City is on the verge of lasting greatness. I believe that we can solve any issue just by working together. This is why I am running, to keep the “we” in Kansas City’s efforts. But running a political campaign is costly, and I depend on the financial help of loyal supporters, like you, to keep moving toward victory."

His campaign is bragging about big bucks in their coffers, so apparently this "we" pitch must be working.

Last but not least . . .

In the 5th District . . . Lance Conley makes another introduction . . .

More good stuff coming up as candidates attempt to convince denizens of a low voter turnout election . . .

  1. The biggest problem with the political silly season in KCMO is that after the election, it only gets even sillier, much, much worse, and terribly expensive for the residents.
The emptiness of the candidates/politicos doesn't change.
They just get access to the $1.4 billion budget filled with YOUR money.

  2. Where do they stand on the streetcar?

  3. Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters.

  4. Where do they stand on this administration, IE Troy Schulte and company. Do they know about the recent $750,000 payout because they used the budget process to get rid of someone they just didn't like?

  5. Conley seems like a good candidate. He's the only one so far that I've noticed with a real platform. Everybody else seems to be running on the "friends" network.

  6. Conley is running on Cindy Circo's Platform. Enough said.

  7. Cindy Circo will be soon forgotten. Sly is her only barrier to oblivion. She is headed for a hard fall. Enjoy your farewell trip though.

  8. Cindy can fall back to doing nails again at a local WalMart nail shop.

  9. Rev Gordon won't get any where advocating that the most qualified should be given the position.

  10. How can be find out how they feel about the streetcar?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Who's guessing on the voter turnout?
    Anyone for around 10%?

  12. Under that, we'll be lucky if we break 8%
