TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! ARE THEY HIGH?!?! KANSAS CITY GREATER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PUSHING NEW AIRPORT IN CANDIDATE SCREENINGS!!!
Quick tidbit about the power brokers who really run this town and their interview process for all of the elected official supplicants who want their approval and cash . . .
KICK-ASS KANSAS CITY INSIDERS TELL US THAT THE GREATER KANSAS CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS MAKING SURE ALL OF THEIR ENDORSED CANDIDATES COMMIT TO BUILDING A NEW "WORLD CLASS" AIRPORT!!!!
It's important to know the real cost of Mayor Sly's biz friendly relationship with the Chamber.
Even worse, Jim Heeter is still hanging around and seems happy about the chance to help this airport move that some say could bankrupt Kansas City while helping out a great many developers and JoCo biz people.
Developing . . .
KC is going broke already, this is the last straw. Don't believe me. Look at the budget.
ReplyDeleteI don't give a shit if CK wants to keep a disco airport that is falling apart, but for fuck sake, learn a little bit about economics. The bond would be issued and paid by airport fees. Will not hit taxpayers or city budget.
ReplyDeleteWill not hit taxpayers or city budget.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!
No your cost to fly goes up so either way your fucked.
ReplyDeleteEarth to CKMO Leadership
ReplyDeleteDeferred maintenance can be done and renovations and upgrades to terminals accomplished for a fraction of the cost and hassle.
People are not going to move to Kansas City because it has a groovy new airport.
Idiots
This is like saying we need to tear down L.A. (KLAX) and Kennedy International (KJFK), two of the busiest airports in the world and build new ones.
ReplyDeleteTotally ludicrous.
Earth to CKMO Leadership
ReplyDeleteLMAO! Exactly.
Considering none of you fucktards have ever been on a plane maybe you should stick to commenting on tits and your Kia.
ReplyDeleteHey 4:27, your SELF-LOATHING is showing...
ReplyDeleteI spoke with them early this morning through a conference call so I don't remember exactly who I was speaking with but there was one gentleman who asked me to elaborate on my written answer saying that I did not believe that airport renovation was a high priority. He seemed particularly concerned that if we didn't take the federal money that some other city would get it, and I pointed out that the same argument was used for the streetcar expansion. I also let him know that there were differing opinions about the quality of our airport and that many of the airlines were reluctant in seeing changes there. He acknowledged that and did not seem overly aggressive in harping on it, but perhaps others had different experiences. The board is made up of many different businesses and I can only say for sure that one of them was interested in airport renovation. I felt they asked some good questions on a number of issues.
ReplyDeleteKCI doesn't do the volume that justifies this expenditure. It's still a great airport.
ReplyDeleteBasically this is just another money grab by the usual suspects lined up at the corporate welfare feeding trough.
A lot of Burns & McDonnell's bread and butter is and has been Airports.
ReplyDeleteComplete the equation.
There will be no Fed money for this terminal project!!
ReplyDeleteIt will just cost us more to fly from KCI, no different than a tax increase!!
FOOLS!!!!!!
That why no low cost carriers such as South West are not going to buy into this deal. They will have to raise their ticket prices. They'll just drop service to a bare minimum here.
ReplyDeleteBurns and Mac needs the welfare dole of a new airport
ReplyDeleteBurns and Mac is already on the KCMO sewer welfare dole
ReplyDeleteThe Chamber of Crony Crapitalism. These assholes are doing more to hurt capitalism than any liberal or Red.
ReplyDeleteWhy not put a secure streetcar between the existing terminals.
ReplyDeleteBryan Stadler shut up and draw a cartoon about how future you sells out whoever you promised to represent.
ReplyDeleteI need a street car between my legs right now
ReplyDeleteand a string of pearls up your ass
ReplyDeleteThe only people that are worried about Kansas City being a "First Class City" with "World Class" Airport are a bunch of businessmen who are too unsure of their own abilities that they need to have their ego swabbed with someone else's Class and Style. They are only able to understand quantity, they have no idea what a "World Class" anything is like.
