ReplyDelete9:40 while I might not agree 100% with SuperDave he brings up a valid point. If I was a law enforcement officer I sure would want to see your hands at all times. If I am ever stopped I am going to make sure my hands are very visible to the officer and make sure they understand every move I am going to make. Going to do that for my own safety and anyone in my car best keep their mouths shut as well. Cops are jumpy and you can't blame them, but at same time we need them.
ReplyDelete1:10 some common sense, thank you. I completely understand 9:40's point. We keep our mouth's shut because that is our right. And we keep our hands in view because its just common courtesy. But read through the comments here and you will find that people like superdave mean what they say literally. SuperDave literally believes all people should lay down spread eagle. People like Chuck believe all criminals should be shot without the opportunity of due process. Read the comments and commenters here propagate the most unamerican of ideas that habeus corpus and due process are unnecessary for anyone except for LEO's. They believe this is about race while forgetting the likes of Ryan Ferguson, Brandon Ellingson and Bryce Masters, all of which are white.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing that there are many thousands of traffic stops performed daily in this country and the cops do what they were trained to do for a traffic stop, and these officers go home at night by the thousands. They don't have to treat a child like a felon. They don't have to treat a disabled person, a one armed person, a deaf person, someones grandmother as if they are dangerous felons and they need to start the very first step in performing a felony stop.
ReplyDeleteThese cops are too frightened to do the job of a police officer anymore. They need to quit, retire or whatever but don't be a cop anymore if you are so friggin frightened of EVERY person you stop that you have to resort to this, because the vast majority of cops don't do this to everyone they come in contact with without a reason other than just stopping them. You guys are really pathetic. If you stopped me, I would refuse to do it just to see what you would do, keeping in mind I know a bit about the job too. I am retired after 30 years. Of course, I was different than you guys. I did not have my head shaved, all bulked up on steroids and treated everyone like crap.
