Kansas City news watchers recently raged over yet another indication of American justice system inequity.
The story of a KCK dude's 10th DUI and a meager punishment makes should remind us that there is a lot of leeway for local courts and residents shouldn't be naive enough to think that the law applies to all of us equally.

KCTV5: Man gets 72 hours in jail for 10th DUI
KSHB: He received a sentence which includes spending 72 hours in jail and six months under house arrest. He’ll also have to pay roughly $3,300 in fines. The maximum sentence in Kansas, what prosecutors requested, is one year in jail.
Fox4: “You know my reaction is more like wow! It’s not appalled or anything,” said Chief Steve Wayman, of the Lansing Police Department.
This is ridiculous, the bastard ought to be in jail for a good term...If not, he'll kill somebody, sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteWhat deity in the realms of dementia, what rabid god decocted out of the smoking lobes of hydrophobia could have devised a keeping place for souls so poor as is this flesh. This mawky wormbent tabernacle.

9:09 Sounds like a pre-crime punishment. He hasn't killed anyone, hell you COULD kill someone driving to work tomorrow. the MADD mothers are worse the the NRA whores.
ReplyDeleteI hear that kind of logic from my 16 year old son 917.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that young man in Las Vegas would agree with you wholeheartedly.
Do you see a date when you will develop the ability to communicate in a way that recognizes that the entire world is not responsible for seeing things in exactly the same way you do?
Erich Milton Nowsch deserves his 2nd Amendment rights.
ReplyDeleteAnd you would want this person working in a bar? Why the permits are good.
ReplyDelete9:22 people die everyday. We could just outlaw life and forever rid ourselves of death. But I prefer to take the risks. I personally don't drink, but if I worried about any of the million ways I could die today I'd never make it out of bed. BTW no one has to believe the way I believe, the law is the law. And the law says drunk driving is illegal. The law also allows that man to serve 72 hours for his 10th offense. Que sera, sera.
ReplyDeleteI was just expressing my views on the subject. I doubt Governor Brownback or the Kansas Legislature care too much about what I think.
He would be doing felony time in Missouri long before he got to DUI 10.
ReplyDeleteThink again 10:59, many ways around that.
ReplyDeleteFree reign to drink and drive in Kansas! Oooo. House arrest! So scary!
ReplyDeleteWell 9:17, driving while intoxicated IS a crime in this state/city. Oh, you must have forgot that, huh?
ReplyDeleteoh Monster Truck Lloyd, lol, and for so many years I watched him drive to and from Westport after a full night of drinking, talking s*** and eating a sloppy gyro at the end of the night lol.
ReplyDelete1249, and the punishment for that crime is 72 hours
ReplyDeleteWhere do you think this guy would be if he wasn't white...
ReplyDelete^That's the truth.
ReplyDeleteNot ten times, it's not!! Dumbass.
ReplyDeleteThis meager punishment remind us that there is a lot of leeway for local courts. Finding a lawyer for your DUI can be the most difficult part as you have to ensure that you select a good lawyer. There are lots of lawyers and finding a good one can be quite a task. My cousin is an accountant at a DUI attorney Los Angeles firm, in case you need any help let me know.
