What we're seeing in this election is TGR supporters pressing their contacts and influence in order to win this case before it goes to court.
What's tragic is that the Council Contender Lady doesn't really have any connection to neighborhoods or the community who are willing to stand up for her. Only hired guns, political action committees and corporate movers & shakers who might not be working this case out of the goodness of their heart but instead could see the opportunity to latch onto a politico who could already be going into office politically compromised.

ReplyDeleteThat figures! Anything goes in Kansas City. Whether you live here or not - apparently voters and rules matter not - you can still run for office. How and Why is the Kansas City legal department responsible for TGR's residency issues. If the legal department takes that matter up - an ethics investigation should be launched. Power players think they run the world - alas it's just po-dunk Kansas City.
