Let's take a look at a clear cut example of a Kansas City politico flying fast and loose with the facts.
Mayor Sly James has repeatedly claimed that the city cannot take money from the airport.

IN BLACK AND WHITE THE CITY'S BUDGET REVEALS THAT KCMO HAS CONSISTENTLY BORROWED FROM THE AIRPORT . . . EVEN UNDER MAYOR SLY'S TENURE!!!
Today the Show-Me guys call him on it:

Money line:
"The city borrowed money from the airport in 2010. Then, during this mayor’s tenure, the city renegotiated the debt to extend the life of the loan to 2016."
It's printed in the city's budget but newsies don't like contradicting the Mayor when he gets going despite this clear cut example of a lack of accounting for the city's finances.
Just ease up on the school girl pics and the ones where chicks are pushing their boobs together and the pics that suggest exploiting and humiliating women is okay and we'll be fine.

If they spend a billion at KCI, they won't have cash available to loan anymore as it will be tied up in debt payments. So mayor has to get money elsewhere, aka taxes.
