ReplyDeleteSadly, I can accurately tell you in advance that Kris Ketz will ask NO difficult questions of President Obama.
ReplyDeleteTwo primary factors are at play in this situation:
1) President Obama's media handlers will simply not allow any question to be asked which hasn't been cleared and approved beforehand. Any reporter violating this cardinal rule will see their interview immediately ended, future access by the affiliate terminated, and the President himself will likely scold/reprimand the reporter off-air.
2) Kris Ketz is interested in maintaining and preserving his local media position, this means he avoids any potential conflicts or controversial positions at all costs! He may not stoop to asking the President what his favorite color is, but don't be surprised by a slew of "softball" questions.
In this regard, Mr. Ketz is simply a symbolic representation of the incestuous relationship between politics and media. They both cooperatively use each other for their own benefit, to the detriment of the public citizenry.
