Sometimes, people ask why we follow local politics so closely and this KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY COMMENT pretty much nails the answer better than I ever could.
Check it:
"City politics is serious business and though Mayor Sly James ran the city through a screeching half billion dollar debt, people with an eye for opportunity know tax dollars are still being raked in never mind any promise of services to the taxpayer."
"Social Media works because the public gets to know what politico's makes rounds to dinners and cocktail parties. From that exhaust, the public can read what's going on ahead of time in city business."
More in a bit . . .
What do you mean by "exhaust" Tony? The smoke the politico's blow up our ass?

ReplyDeleteNew, old, and recycled names of candidates.
Empty promises and statements at town hall meetings.
Refill the trough with taxpayer money.
Line up the insiders, grifters, con men, extortionists, swells, out-of-town futurists, and all the rest on the 22nd and 29th floor of city hall and start all over again.
Keep that tax money coming!
Kansas City is nothing but a clown show. An ultra-violent, ultra-expensive clown show.
